Are park tickets refundable?

We have a family trip planned for May and one daughter and her family have a habit of backing out of vacations at the last minute plus her DH is disabled and may not want to make the trip. If I go ahead and purchase park tickets then they cancel at the last minute, can I get a refund of their park tickets prior to our arrival? They might cancel but the rest of the family will go without them.

Park tickets are usually nonrefundable. Why don't you purchase tickets upon arrival for your family members who are still undecided?

That's what I was thinking but I'm sure she'll have a fit not being able to do the early fastpass + which I believe you have to purchase tickets first. Oh well, she'll have to get over it; better than me losing hundreds of dollars on her family's tickets. Thanks for the quick reply.

My dd and her bf had to cancel 2 weeks before vacation this year as she got a job. I had our villa reserved with DVC, purchased tickets separate from Disney will call and linked them to everyone magic bands / MDE. So obviously they didn't go to any parks, I wan't sure what would happen with their tickets tho! My MDE account shows that I can reassign their tickets to anyone in our group. I also saved & printed the email with the ticket confirmation just in case. It makes sense as I bought tickets but they aren't assigned to anyone until the first use. Not sure if this applies to your situation, hope it helps!

If you book the tickets as part of a resort package, the entire cost is refundable until 45 days from check in.
