I think everyone believes these soldiers to be heroes. I was around for the Nam era, and I just do not think there is any comparison at all. People may disagree wholeheartedly with this war, but I have not heard of anyone casting blame on the soldiers.

Neither have I, but I have a bad feeling it's only a matter of time. There was no reason to blame the soldiers coming home from Vietnam, but people (read...scumbags) did anyways.

The way I see it, some people don't mind doing as much as they can to undermine the morale of the soldiers over there (morale being very important to the soldiers well being), so blaming the soldiers is the natural progression. Hopefully we will get out of Iraq, with a victory, before that happens.
