I haven't chimed in on this thread yet, but allowing any Joe Bloe that claims he's going to Trails End or the Trading Post to have access to my "resort hallway" with a motor vehicle is my true concern. No other resort on property allows that.

There will also be those that really ARE going to Trails End or Hoop De Doo that will think "I don't feel like taking a bus". They'll drive up as close as they can and park wherever they feel like it.

And yes, Fort Wilderness is NOT unique in that we are griping about non-guests. There are MANY at the other resorts that gripe about how crowded their lobbys are with folks eating at the popular restaurants, or how crowded their beaches are with folks watching the fireworks.

On a serious note, having as many as 75 people, think about it, 75 people at a time, relying on you to get them to their destination safely is something that forces you to be extra, extra, careful. I know all the drivers try to be, but like Larry said, it's not always 100%, but it's close.

The point I was trying to make and failed to do in some folks mind which is beyond me is that even with those attuned to what can happen at the fort such as kids on bikes close to the road such as the bus drivers I think are and I have seen many, many instances of them slowing down on approaching bike riders even on the sidewalks that seem to be messing around will not be the case for just the random driver cruisin inside the Fort and have not seen what kids do at FW.

I'm sorry that I expressed what I thought was something to consider that others think is folly,but to me the safety of our loved ones is not something to be taken lightly or joked about.

I'm just glad I don't don't see all the garbage from about 5 or 6 folks that the forum software allows me to ignore until they are quoted and then I have to read their drivel and even worst feel I have to respond to not them, but the person's post that quoted them.

Now that we have that out of the way... I have to take my hat off to the bus drivers at WDW, but at the Fort in particular. It isn't just the kids that do dumb things. I am of the opinion that a lot of adults forget to unpack their brains when they set up at the Fort.
