Are MK restaurants wild on MNSSHP nights?

We were thinking of doing the earliest possible dinner seating at Crystal Palace before the Halloween Party but I HATE being rushed when I am out for dinner. Is it going to be really packed full of people with the same idea as us??
Would we be better off eating dinner at a resort before the party or grabbing CS??

Im stumped! :confused3

We did exactly that last year and it worked out perfect.

If I remember correctly, our reservations at the Crystal Palace were at 4:30. We were called on time and had a nice relaxed dinner.

We have found that our family is too excited about the upcomming party to eat a big meal- especially a buffet. We try to have a lite meal at the resort before we head to the MK and get a snack when we get back. There are some CS open in the MK during the party- we shared a burger at Cosmic Rays and enjoyed the Monster Bash party going on there too.

Don't make the same mistake we did 2009, check the restaurant closing time.

In 2007 we ate at LTT for MNSSHP (it was still character at that time) and it was open until late on the evening certainly for the majority of the party. We had wonderful service, weren't rushed at all.
This year we let our DS choose (we had pretty much let our DD max out on princess meals and thought DS should get a look in) he chose the Plaza which was the only restaurant we had never tried at MK. Anyway we booked a table for 5.30pm thinking we would be fine wrong they 'closed' at 6pm (last adr presumably). We didn't get in until 5.50pm by which point they weren't even bothering to clear the tables. Never saw any waiting staff once they had taken our orders until we had our food delivered. Had to find someone to take our dessert order and drinks order and then to top it all we had five TS credits deducted for a meal for four (thought this was impossible on DDP). To cut a long story short we were late out, sitting in a restaurant with only two families left and being made quite clear that we were in the way of cashing up and sharing tips out. Not saying that it was all the fault of the staff, they must have worked a full day and been ready to go home but if this was the case our adr shouldn't have been made for so late.

We are hopefully going to MNSSHP this year and I will definitely be checking the opening hours for CP/CRT before we make our booking.

We ate at Tony's before the party and it was only about 25% full when we arrived at 5 pm. By the time dinner was over it was still only about 75% full. our meal was not rushed and it was nicely paced.

I don't think they're overly crowded.

What we did was go back to our hotel from the parks mid-day to rest (and change DS into costume.) Then we did an early 5:00 dinner at our resort (Boatwrights at POR) and went over to MK afterwards. We arrived right before the beginning of MNSSHP.

We just switched from POP to POR. I hadnt even thought of Boatwrights.

Thank you for all the suggestions.

I "think" the majority of the ticket people will not be eating a sit down dinner at the party.

I've eaten at LTT before a MVMCP and CRT before a MNSSHP. I don't think it was busier than normal, because it's not like add more ADRs for the parties. You won't be rushed, if anything you might feel like a TS dinner might take up too much of your time during a party.
