Are Little Mermaid Standard Rooms ever discounted?

Are Little Mermaid Standard Rooms ever discounted? More specifically any chance for June 14, 2016 discount?

We are currently booked 7 nights at OKW 2BR Villa. Stupid Spirit airlines changed their flights, now we need to add one day to the front of the week (oh darn ). A mermaid room for 1 night would make my DD giddy - but at $178 for the night that seems pretty steep for a value.

The Little Mermaid rooms are never discounted through Disney. They are even excluded from bounce back offers.

I don't think I've seen them discounted since they opened.

We got a discount on LM rooms last year on Orbitz.

I have never seen the LM directly through Disney. Orbitz would be something outside of Disney, but that is an option to find as the PP stated.

Thank you for the replies. None of the sites with the ~ 15% (i.e. orbitz) deals have the LM rooms... just offering the suites at the moment. arghh

I am a travel agent and have never seen them discounted through Disney.

That's weird, from what I recall when I stayed in the LM rooms two years ago I'm pretty sure I booked it with a discount.

They were discounted when they first opened for a few days before they removed it.

I think that was longer than 2 years a go though.

I remember I stayed at Pop right before AoA opened and could have booked a free dining bounceback for the LM rooms. That was early 2012. I should have jumped on it!

From what I've been told and read in numerous places, Disney won't need to discount the LM Rooms cause they've never had a problem filling them. I myself chose the LM Room for my next trip this November into December, prior to the price increase, cause I spent over 10Gs on last years trip on a Deluxe. After a splurge like that, my wallet needs a freaking break, trust me. LOL.
