are EE (or EMH) mornings truely only for onsite resort guests?

I don't think I'd worry too much about my 3yr old having ID. I mean if mom and dad have it-- the 3 yr old didn't rent his/her own suite over at the Holiday Inn :p. I just don't see a CM throwing you out of the EMH because the toddler in the group doesn't have ID when everyone else does.

I agree with RescueRanger. I think that they should check resort IDs each and every day and not admit people for EE without them. I don't mean the kids that are with the adults, but they should not admit the adults without the keys.

When I was at WDW last week MK did not check for resort IDs and it was a failly busy day for the slow season (isn't it always at the MK?). I was disappointed that they did not check. We had them out going into MGM so I don't know if they would have asked for them, but I didn't hear them asking other people.

My 4yo was given a room card without me asking for it. In the past all kids over 3yo were given them.

I am sure there are many offsite guests who do not have a clue what EMH is. They just show up early an see people going in, not realizing it is for resort guests. This is why Disney needs to be more proactive in checking ID's. On the other hand, you do have those that know EMH is for onsite guests and choose to take advantage of the situation. Bottom line, WDW needs to check IDs every morning. Kids without IDs should be allowed in with their parents but other adults should not be allowed just because a resort guest says, "oh there with us."

If the above is a reference to my post concerning my wife and daughter not having their cards with them one morning in 11/02, let me clarify that they were indeed staying at the Dolphin with me and were not riding my coattails into the park.

Bill-
No, it was not intended for you. It was just a general statement for those like the poster who brought along 5 guests from an offsite resort. Letting what is obviously an onsite guest's family in I have no problem with but letting in a whole other family on an onsite guest's word is the problem. ;)

RescueRanger,

I agree that this is a primary reason I pay a premium to stay in WDW and should be policed. I've only be challenged about three times in 30 or so park-days in the last 5 years.

Bill-

We will be at WDW the same time ya'll are. We arrive on March 6 for our OKW stay. Maybe we'll see you there.

RescueRanger,

We hit the EE park every day then hop to Epcot about 1 pm. If you're near the Rose & Crown some afternoon, stick your head in and look for the Three Stooges pictured below. We'll be a party of eight, these two are my daughters, so we shouldn't be too hard find. Let's hope for some fine Orlando weather.
