Just wondering if we go to AK in the afternoon will find FP's for EE all gone? Or do you think the crowds will have thinned enough by then that it won't matter if they are?

Thanks!

When we were there on Monday, the EE FP's were gone by 12:40 as that was my FP time. When i went back to get in the FP line, the tickets were all distributed for the day.

The wait time prior to 1:30pm was 70 minutes. The wait time after 3:30pm was 20 minutes.

I think it's a good bet to say if you aren't there in the early hours, you won't get a FP like raven69david said.

My sister and I arrive at WDW on the 20th at 9:06 a.m. We are planning on doing AK on that day, and are hoping to arrive at the park by 11:00 a.m. or sooner if at all possible. I am hoping that there will still be FP by that time. Keeping my fingers crossed. ;)

We were at WDW last week and we didn't need a fast pass for any rides, including EE. We went to ride EE around 10:00 and then we walked back to ride again around 11:30. Both times we just walked on the ride.

Wow, that's a very different experience than I had. Were you there on Wednesday, 8/30, when thanks to Ernesto the crowds were very light at all parks? (That was the day we walked onto Dumbo and got re-rides on Splash and Buzz Lightyear!) We were at AK on Sunday, 8/27 and Thursday, 8/31 and the standby EE line was never under 45 minutes - I think it was over an hour most of the day. (We did leave the park at 3 PM - maybe it was less later than that.) I'm sure all FP were gone by early afternoon at the latest. We got there at opening, went directly to EE and our FP were for 10:25 on Sunday and 11:05 on Thursday (ride opened late so there was no standby line for the morning hours, pushing up FP demand).

Wife and I were there on Monday 8/28 and found the same situation ILVPOOH had. We walked to EE and got there at 10am. Got a FP for return at 10:45. Walked on to the ride with a 7 minute wait and rode it the first time. Exited ride, got back in standby line, and waited 15 minutes. Got off ride, got a Mickey ice cream at a nearby cart, ate for 5 minutes, and used fastpass to get back on a 3rd time.

All day, the return time for FP was about 60-70 minutes after you got one. At 2pm, there were still FP's available in the 4pm window. Hope that helps. Crowds were not bad at all, and wife and I did not wait more then 15-20 minutes our entire trip from 8/23-9/1. We rarely used Fast Pass, and for the most part, a LOT of the FP kiosks were closed our entire trip.

We were there on 8/30. I guess that was a good day to go. The crowds were really light because of the rain. I didn't see any wait time time at all at EE that day. It wasn't even raining that much. I didn't like the backward part too much, but it was really a great ride!

When we went back in April, they would sometimes have a single rider line near the FP return. We did that since we were a group of adults/teens and never waited more than 30 minutes. And this was during spring break! I would try for a FP first, then try single rider. You'd get more rides that way!
