Are Disney on Ice tickets really upwards of $150 per ticket?

It's been a very long time since I've purchased Disney on Ice tickets (probably 25 years).

I just looked at ticket prices for the show that is going to our area in Feb., as we'd like to take our granddaughter. Yikes!

I did sign up for presale alerts.

Any other way to get some sort of a deal?

It may depend on location and/or dates. I found some as “low” as $73 but tends to be mid-week and dates that don’t align with a local school vacation. Even that is quite a bit higher than we last paid (approx $50) but pre-pandemic.

Not sure if you want to risk it but I bought day-of tickets on stub-hub for around $35. It was for a Sunday afternoon.

YMMV, but I've never found that watching someone twirl and jump around on ice skates enhances the re-telling of a Disney story (and yes I have done it more than once unfortunately). You are better off just sitting down with the family at home and having a family movie night.

Is your granddaughter (or anyone else you know) a figure skater, by chance? Local figure skating clubs often get a discount on tickets.

(And PS for Lumpy: the majority of people who go to DoI tend to go *because* they like figure skating, and not just because it is a Disney story. Stage performances for kids are a dime a dozen, but chances to see professional-level figure skating in person have become very scarce in the US now. My DD always asks her new pupils why they want to learn to skate, and in each new group, usually about half of the young ones will say it's because they saw a Disney on Ice show.)

You do realize for some young folks this may be the furthest and closest to Disney they may get… any and all hurdles to prevent returning home to a Disney resort exist. These types of performances bring folks that Disney fix in between visits as well.

It’s been a few years since I took the kids to Disney on ice. We bought the middle of the road priced seats for about $50 but that was prior to the pandemic. I am sure tickets are twice as much now especially with all those extra fees.
