Thought I'd ask here first because if we purchase we'll be using an Australian credit card!!! When you've purchased Disney Gift Cards from the US have you been charged a cash advance fee???

Thinking of it as a birthday present for DD. But might buy her $$ or a travel card instead - ie, prepaid ANZ or AMEX or something. Do you know if there is a minimum age on those? She can then add her pocket money to it.

I wouldn't think you would pay as a cash advance but the postage I believe is quite high. I looked at buying a giftcard for DD last year and got to the check out and changed my mind when I saw the postage. Can't remember what it was but it was enough to change my mind.
I got my dd a prepaid visa back in 2007 when she was only 12. No problem getting it but we had to produce additional ID every time she used it.

Its not a cash advance as its a purchase but you will pay an international transaction fee and if its mastercard its 3% of the transaction.
I know there is no min age for a Commonwealth Bank Travel Money Card. Hope this helps. :goodvibes
