Are Dining credits still just a pool of credits for your party? What if someone leaves early?

We are family of 9 going in November and have bought a dining plan for everyone in the party. One person is leaving three days early. They will be leaving via Magical express back to the airport. Will her remaining dining credits be lost once she leaves (because Disney knows she left via ME) or will we still be able to use her credits that are pooled with the rest of us on the rest of the trip? Would like to either double up for a special dinner for two of us or use the credits for the extra nights for a local family member coming to join us.
