Are Deluxe Resort bus stops closer to park entrances?

I'm curious whether bus stop distances to the park entrances are closer based on Deluxe, Moderate or Value resort classifications?

Deluxe resorts do not necessarily have the closest bus stop. The bus stop for Wilderness Lodge at Epcot is the furthest one in the first group of stops. Port Orleans buses are the closest stop. And that is just an example.

The walk to the stop for WL at Epcot is a “healthy” one for sure. But if memory serves, the MK stop for the WL is pretty close to the exit.

You are correct. The 2 closest load zones at Magic are 1 and 10. At night when leaving the park Wilderness Lodge and The Campground leave out of 10.

It has to do with size of hotel - a lot of times if you have a lot of people they put you way out to capture all those people waiting for buses so you have all that congestion out-of-the-way for all the other buses and hotels - That’s why Animal Kingdom is always way out that’s what was explained to me now if that’s true or not I don’t know - I didn’t hear it from a bus driver but it was close I just know I’ve stayed at Animal Kingdom several times and it was a long walk and a long wait!! Same for Pop Century And no so for Bay Lake Or Port Orleans which is a decent size hotel

It’s not the size of the resort that’s the determining factor necessarily so much as which buses are used. The reason Pop and AoA stations in AK are located in Narnia for instance is because of the articulated buses used at both resorts. Those need way more space than the standard buses so they have to get out at the end.

I thought the bus stops were alphabetical. So it depends on the lot of each park and how many “rows” of busses. For example resorts1-5 or resorts 1-10

They aren’t at all. Poly and GF are almost always one of the first stations.

The largest disparity in distance to get to the bus stop for your particular resort vs others is at the most 50 yards, who knows, maybe 70.

After walking 8 miles that extra 50 yards just SEEMS long.

I was a long time WDW bus driver and I don’t recall passengers saying anything about their bus stop being too far away.

Because we drop off at the bus stop that we’re going to next, it doesn’t really matter what resort you’re staying at. You could be dropped off either close or far away from the tapstiles.

The location of the bus stop matters when you’re leaving the parks.

Very true. I rarely remember a long walk being dropped off. However, many long walks to find Board Walk and Animal Kingdom Lodge buses. Walked by many value and moderates along the way when leaving.
