It will be our first time at Universal/Islands in mid-October and just wondering if the 2 parks are less crowded during the days of the HHNs? Our youngest is too young for HHN so we will only be doing the ususal day trips to the parks. Just thought the parks may be less crowded if the there is a HHN that same night.

Any past experience or opinions?

THANKS, in advance!

Yes, the parks are less crowded on the weekdays and a Sunday morning.

If you show up early, it will feel like a ghost town. But in the afternoon, the crowd starts to build, and at night, everyone shows up for HHN.

Go early, stay until the afternoon, and then go back to your hotel room, or head over to SWF for Shamu's Spooktactular.

It is true that they are less crowded during the day as compared to the actual night of the event. However, the days where HHN takes place that night are more crowded than earlier in the month when it does not.

we were there last year during HHN for our daughters 12 birthday and found very LITTLE crowds during the days.
It may sound stupid but I actually wished it was a little bit busier so that I felt extra special for having the FOTL the lines for the peoplw without FOTL were very very small. we experienced a lot of rides that were not using FOTL because there was no wait.
I know im weird

I wanted to go to WDW this october for our daughters 13th birthday but my husband refuses to ever go back to WDW because he does not want to stand in line again.

We were there for a week at the end of October 2 years ago (2003...including Halloween....our 10 year old daughter went trick-or-treating at City Walk and had a blast) and the crowds were very good (especially compared to WDW in July two years before that)!

If you're staying on-site you won't have hardly any lines at all during the day!

We liked it so much we're going back again this October(HRH)!!!!
