Are capris too hot?

Hi, we're leaving in a couple of weeks and I'm just wondering is it too hot to wear capri pants in the parks? I usually don't like wearing shorts, but I'm not sure if it's too hot to wear even lightweight, cotton capri pants.
Thanks!
:)

I guess it would be totally up to you. I just came back and it was very warm and extremely humid, so I'm thinkin' that capris might feel sticky. What about bermuda shorts? Very stylish and trendy right now and cover more than shorts do.

I was just at WDW and wore capris the entire time. It was hot, but I really think it would have been just as hot in shorts. I don't like wearing shorts that much either (especially before I've been able to get some summertime color on my legs!). I was more comfortable in my capris this year than I was in shorts last year (same time of year). I guess it would just be personal preference. Have a great trip in whatever you decide to wear! :flower:

When we visited in May 2004 I wore capris a few times at night but when we have gone in June and August I wouldnt dream of wearing capris. Honestly, if its hot, you will be hotter in capris then in shorts. It just can get so hot and humid in the summer I usually have on a tank top and shorts during the day and maybe a t-shirt and shorts at night.

I find that I am cooler and more comfortable in light weight capri pants. Linen is great or really lightweight cotton. Maybe I perspire more than most, but I find in the hot & humid Florida weather with shorts I am sticking to benches and ride seats.

On our last trip, the temperature was in the high 80's. I noticed that if the capris have "spandex" in them, that they tend to be uncomfortable in the hot weather. If you have some that are real light cotton, linen you should be fine. I'm taking a couple of real light cotton capris.

Even with the heat and humidity, I'd wear capris. I find my legs sticks together and chafe as I walk. I feel drier with capris on.

How about a skort? I just bought two for myself, they will be cool since they do not cover as much of your leg as capris would, but do come longer than just a short. They are more comfortable than a skirt because you are fully covered underneath! I never buy myself clothes at Walmart, but just couldn't resist- they were reasonable- $10 a piece and came in two different styles and several different patterns, solid or floral!
I'm more concerned right now with waht to wear on my feet that will be comfortable but cool and not cause blisters in the high humidity.
Good luck- enjoy your trip. :goodvibes

Thanks for all the suggestions! I guess I'll just take some capris and some shorts and see how things go.
Thanks! :)

According to my wife , either will do. Like she says, thats what pools are for when you return to the resort.
