Are cancellations processed immediately?

If someone cancel a dining ressie, will it immediately show up as available online? I am trying to get a Chef Mickey's ressie for May 26 and there has been no availability for several days -- should I check the website frequently throughout the day, or does it just show up as available at the start of the next day?

It should show up immediately. Good luck, it's not impossible...people are cancelling every day!
