Are Canadian members able to add on by phone?

Was just on the website, clicked on the add on button just curious. It says that I'm not able to add on that way. Also says I can add on while I'm at WDW, DL or on a Disney Cruise. I've added on twice by phone, but that was several years ago. Have timeshare laws changed? Any Canadians out there who've added on by phone lately?

It used to be that the only provinces where you could buy without having to actually be there was Ontario and Alberta. Now that was quite a while ago and maybe Disney let that lapse. I'm in BC so we could never do that (at least not that I'm aware of), however we are resale members so it never really mattered to us. We did add on 25 direct points last year while we were on the Wish. When I was signing the paperwork via docusign once we were back on land staying at AKV, our agent made sure to remind us that I had to have my iPad's location activated otherwise it would assume we were in BC and it wouldn't work.

Depends on the law in your particular province. Disney has not registered to sell every resort in every province.

Thanks. I'm in Ontario. I'll call to find out. Guess I have to keep watching my difficult April UY for small contracts.

An acquaintance of mine who lives in BC (I live in BC too) was able to purchase the new Disneyland villas by phone this past Tuesday which was surprising to me. What she wasn't able to do, however, was finance the purchase. For that she needs to be in the US to do that. So she went with her back up of using a line of credit.

We had debated adding on at DHV but ultimately it's not the cards for us right now. Hoping to use our points at the 7 month mark for a trip next summer.

I see some people mention that they’ll cross the border to do the transaction. Wondering how that works… do you go to a lawyer/notary across the border and have documents faxed there ? Or do you just have to drive across the border and docusign once there?

We are interested in Poly 2 but we are in NB… we could hop over to Maine but not sure how that would work.
