Are any of my members going to the Merry Mixer on 12/15

Hi everyone---I am new to DIS boards, VCG DVCers are not allowed to enter on DIS boards. I resigned in April and never got a chance to say good bye to so many people (my members). Is anyone going to the Merry Member Mixer on Thursday? I will be there. .staying at the Beach Club. I resigned due to schedule conflicts with my family. I have two small children and just could not work weekends, holidays and evenings. After 10 years it was time to move up, move west or move out. I chose the latter!! Working at Disney was one of the best experiences of my life. Leaving was tough. I miss all of my members and want to say thanks for the many ways you touched my life. Glad to be only a member (500 points, SSR) except now I have to pay to get into the parks!!! Glad for the annual pass discount. Mary Mannix

Welcome to the DIS, Mary! You were not our guide. We have had several guide changes over the last 12 years though.

I have one question. Does DVC look at the DIS? So many good suggestions happen here, I would like to see DVC checking in once in awhile to get those ideas!

Mary, theres a bunch of DIS people going on the 15th..... Search the threads for the merry mixer list. As of yesterday there were about 15 DIS names on the list.....

I'll be there with my santa goofy hat.....DH, DD, and Dnephew in tow...

Not sure if any of them are your members though....

I wish I could get there on Thursday. As it is, I'm sweating it out getting there on Friday due to a forecast snow storm here in Connecticut.

I hope you stick around for a while. It will be neat having our very own (ex)Guide!

Thanks for the info, I cannot wait for Xmas vacation. I think the Mixer starts at 3. Best part is the characters everywhere for the kids.

We did the Merry Mixer last year and loved it!!! BTW, I think it would be nice if they had a few guides at the mixers. (beyond "X" guides). It would be nice to put a face on the name of our new guide.

They have guides there, many top managers, people from marketing. I worked it last year as a CM. They will definitely be there.

They weren't indentified then, because we didn't know they were there. Of course, we were so busy socializing with our DIS board friends, we probably didn't notice!
