So we r leaving in a week and 2 days and some decisons yet to be made so i am coming here 4 help! we r a family of 6, we love waterparks, but nothing too scary, you know, just middle of the road rides, not extremes. we r going to disney parks but want to add aquatica. I can get 30 tickets for us for 1 day or can get the after 2 tixs for us which I think r 55 adults 50 kids , as many days as we like.....we r going for 8 days and we r a family 6 me 36 , dh 42, ds 15 ds 12, dd 8, dd 5.... which is the best deal? is it a park which is better for a full day or a few hours 2/3 days?

Go after two. People show first thing in the morning and worn out after lunch. Going in the afternoon is much more calming, wait times are less, and the sun is not at its strongest (well about 11am to 3 pm is the worst). And night time is awesome there. You get in about the same number of hours, so go later than every one else. I always went from 4pm to close and enjoyed it better than being in the middle of crowds to do anything.

The only issue with the after 2 passes is the typical Florida rain pattern. West coast air meets east coast air in the center of the state every day around 4, usually. So it gets rainy. Do you have to pay to park at aquatica? I thought I saw that you do. You don't have to pay at the Disney water parks.

I've actually been trying to decide the same thing. Haven't made a decision yet.

the parking is $12.... if i went for 1 day does anyone recommend the all u can eat buffet? imagine leaving in 1 week and still cant decide...lol

I've only had the food sparingly at the Sea World parks. It is nice that the kids can go get water or soda or whatever they want to drink without being charged each time through with the all day pass.

There is a parking fee at Aquatica unlike the Disney waterparks. I do like Aquatica better because you can go anywhere. Disney gets too strict about adults in the kids area. My friend did not like the fast slides at Disney and resorted to the lazy river for most the day because there wasn't much she could do for adults and she couldn't go down the slower slides in the kids area. Aquatica has a lot of middle of the road slides, and a few fast slides, but my friend could go on nearly all of them.

I was just on the Aquatica site and if you do an advance purchase you can get a day at aquatica and the all day dining deal for $55. Seems like a good deal. But if you get the after 2 pass and 1 person gets the annual pass that includes the free parking you would break even after a few visits.

We r staying at both tropical palms resort and orange lake resort which is a good 20 minute drive from aquatica so right now I am leaning towards the 1 day passes at $29.99 a person...was considering the all u can eat but am reading reviews on tripadvisor saying the only offered foods are oil soaked pork, mac cheese, pizza...if that is the case I will pass
