Hi all ~ My daughter and I are going to spend a week+ in Orlando (Aug. 6th - 19th) on business and I am trying to fit in as much 'fun stuff' during that time frame as I can. My work hours are kind of flexible so I can either try to be at Aquatica at opening and stay until very early afternoon and then go to the office and work late or work early and plan to be at the park around 4 - 4:30 pm (once the park reopens from the crowds) and stay into the evening. What do you think? I am also trying to avoid I-4 traffic etc. so I thought that the traffic might be better to go in the later afternoon. We are water park newbies and are planning to visit multiple times and also do SeaWorld etc. We are not doing WDW this time, so SW will be our theme park area for this trip. Any opinions, ideas are welcome! Thanks in advance :)

When we were there we went in the evening and were able to either walk on the slides right away or had very short waits. No crowds in the wave pool or lazy river.

It seems that most everyone goes to waterparks early and they clear out towards evening. We will be there again next week just doing Seaworld and Aquatica and the plan is evenings only.

Right at park opening works best to get on all the slides. Once about 10 comes around, forget it. After four usually works better for everything else because it tends to storm about this time of year at around 2 ish and everyone clears out of the park during these daily rituals.

We used pre-printed/on-line tickets last Monday (8/10). They let us in the gate at 8:00 am but they held everyone until 8:30 am. Still, only half the park was open at that time. By 10:30 am we had hit all the slides attractions at least twice with minimal waits.

After 4pm definately. we headed to aquatica about 6ish when we were there and found very minimal waits, plus its cooler and just less crowded in general.
