APs and PINs

I got the 20/30/40 PIN and currently have 2 nights at the GF on hold. These two nights are part of our split stay (8 nights at the Poly with 10 day park hoppers).

I'm considering ugrading the 10 day hoppers I get with my Poly package to APs. If I book an AP package (just room and dining plan) for the GF portion, will I be able to keep the 40% discount?

I really want to add the dining plan onto our 2 nights at the GF so I can prepay food and don't think getting a 1 day base ticket is the best value.

No you will not be able to book w/ the 20/30/40 pin as an AP package. The AP package to purchase dining plan w/ no 1 day ticket will not accept a PIN code, it will only book w/ regular or AP rate.

BUT the AP discounts may come out to match or be better than the 40% at GF, but it would be much closer to your dates before those AP rates are available (usually announced 1-2 months before the discounts begin). The AP rates for Jan/Feb are better than the 40% off but 5%.

I don't get the AP SPECIALS...
Take right now, for example...they have this special with a GC, But, you have buy tickets for you stay....it is for rooms for the next 6 months....
but AP gets a special with a a 1-2 month month window? What are the odds of a decent room being available, other than the most expensive, only being available?

Does it seem like AP get a bad deal or is it just ME?

P.S. I did get a GREAT AP special, this past August that was better than any other deal,so the CM said. LOL

It seems like the current offer as well as the 4/7 work against an AP holder since they are requiring basically a length of stay ticket not just the 1 day as before in offers.

Hmm seems like it's better to keep my 40% off for my GF ressie and pay OOP for meals.
