do discounts usually come out for mid April. (school vacation week?) or does that never happen?

I'm fairly certain that they never do discounts then because they're already booked. My spring break falls in the first week of April this year, so I could actually go with free dining if I checked in on Mar 31. Not sure if that's a fluke thing or what.

we went during April school vacation too! There was a percentage off...I believe 25% off room portion of the package, OR kids stay/play free, which was essentially kids tickets were free ages 3-9. Hope this helps!!

25% was off a value, the others were higher depending on where you were staying! Hoping for something to come out soon so I can book my April 2012 trip

This year (2011) they did have some discounts available in April; however, there were extensive blackout dates for the week before Easter since that is the 2nd busiest week of the year. We went that week and paid full price for everything. (This is why we're taking the kids out of school for a couple of days and going in January this year!!)

If you have AAA and you book early enough, you may be able to get the standard AAA room discount for that timeframe. By the time we booked, all the AAA availability was gone.

we were there and stayed at POP and qualified for the discount. We were there April 14th-22nd. We came home on Good friday. That was our school vacation week, the one leading up to Easter. :confused

Interesting! We did not start looking at rates until January, and there were definitely blackout dates on the discounts for everything we saw that week. IIRC, the blackout dates generally started on the 16th, and just did not work for our trip. Maybe there were offers that came out before January that had fewer blackout dates?

probably right Bettie! We booked in Aug, and then added the code to get the discount shortly after that. This is why I am on pins and needles waiting to book our 2012 trip.
