We're flying BDL to TPA for April School Vacation. Our fare dropped TODAY by $66 per person (total saved $264 for our family of 4). We'll use the voucher towards our flights for our first Disney Cruise next summer.
Where did you get your rate? I keep checking the Delta site and the rates are still REALLY, REALLY high. Oh Ya, I am leaving in February. But, I would think Feb prices would be down too if April prices are down.
Tink, I got the fares right on Song's web site - www.flysong.com - which I monitor almost every day. When I saw the fare drop, I immediatley called Delta Medallion Member Services line and they re-booked our family at the lower fare.
That being said, we are still paying $283.50 RT pp for BDL to TPA which is the most we've ever paid to fly to Florida in 16 years, including President's Week School vacation and Easter/Spring Break.
Thanks for the website. I went and checked flights for r/t in Feb, during Pres. week and the rates were $421.20 ouch!!
I am just going to wait it out and if the rates don't come down, we are just going to drive. I don't want to do it, but I cant pay over $400.00 a ticket...that's crazy and twice as much as I have ever paid!!! Oh well.
I must say that I am really disappointed in the fares for Song right now. We always book way out, and get the best fares for our dates, usually between $169-$180. That same flight is now $230!
I have gone through numerous batteries in my cordless mouse searching airfares. I monitor Delta who knows how many times a day and boy! are the fares sky high Over a one week period, they fluctuated from $232, 192, 173 and back all over again. I can imagine this is why Song's fares are doing the same.
