April Crowds: Spring break, Easter/Spring Vacations...when to go in April?

So, we have decided to revisit the idea of when we should go to Disney.... We are thinking about the first few weeks in April. We are not tied into any week, but would like to find out the crowd patterns before we book... Such as Easter break, Mid-West and other spring Vacation weeks, any special events and/or anything else I might not have on my radar screen. I do not want to go when it it super busy and could easily be avoided by a day or so, or week or so - I will change any schedule accordingly!!

We have spring break in Missouri in late March. I am not sure when Easter is in 2008, so consider that. We had a good time going in early May one year. Allearsnet has a breakdown on attendence.

Easter isn't in April this year but March 23rd I think? It's like the 3rd Sunday in March and our school is out the week afterwards for Easter Vacation. So that's the last week in March so I think you could be good in April. I'm sure some schools will be out in April but again you will have missed a lot of Easter crowds in April.

Easter is March 23 next year, and Passover is April 19. Many schools have the week before or after Easter as their break, but I do know some who have the week before Passover (April 14-18). We have the week of April 7-11 for our spring break, but that is not for all of NC, just our district. I have read on the boards of some other people having that same week off, but not that many. We are going to WDW then!

We went the last week of April into the first week of May '07. Weather was great and crowds were very low! Seemed to be after spring breaks and before Star Wars weekends. Did not seem to be too many older (school-age) chidren.
