Easter this year is March 31. We were thinking the Easter bunny might bring AP's this year so we could camp over school break. The AP id for a ong trip we will have within a year so it does make financial sense to get the AP, it's not just for the camping trip. We have never camped at the Fort. We have a pop up. I would like to know the following:

What is the weather like the end of March/beginning of April?

We have never gone during a peak season how chaotic is it during Easter break as far as the campsite being busy or packed and the parks...how long of a wait at rides have you encountered?

Also since we will drive has anyone gone to a catholic church for mass so we could go for Easter? I would like to know the name and location. Was it an easy drive or long and complicated to get there?

Is there an Easter parade at Disney for the holiday?

Do you tend to use your car to and from the parks or do you take the transportation? It seems like other than the boat to MK the transportation is a hassle. Am I wrong?

Do you really need a golf cart for internal transportation? Walking is too much? A tthe end of the day I don't want to walk a ton more. We have stayed atCBR and POR so we're used to walking a bit from the bus.

Sorry for the long answer! I hope this is helpful. :cool1:

Disney has held catholic services on site for Easter, including this year at the Fantasia Ballroom of Disney's Contemporary Resort. Services are also held at Mary, Queen of the Universe Catholic Shrine which is a short, simple ride from the fort.

As far as weather here is some information but we find these types of long range averages can really vary from what you might experience.
March
•Average High Temperature: 77° F
•Average Low Temperature: 53° F
•Average Precipitation: 3.32 inches
April
•Average High Temperature: 82° F
•Average Low Temperature: 58° F
•Average Precipitation: 2.02 inches

We use a golf cart because we spend a lot of time at the Magic Kingdom and within Fort Wilderness. When traveling to other parks we drive. We also use our AAA parking pass as it gets us preferred parking close to the entrances. As you point out with larger crowds, and longer park hours, the cart at days end can be a real help. I'm not sure about the parade or wait times know that the Easter can be a special time at Disney and hope you have a great time!!

Weather SHOULD be nice. Parks will be BUSY. We usually use WDW transportation, unless we have to be at a park at a specific time to meet someone. A golf cart is sure handy and fun, but, you can get by without one. Here is a link to Easter special events http://www.wdwinfo.com/holidays/easter.htm

Have a magical time.
