checking in......wondering if the list may magically correct itself but afraid to go look for myself. I may not find myself. ;) Story of my life.

I kind of hestitate to touch the roll call sheet. I don't want to mess it up any more than it is.

I went in, following the lead of some others here, and put my correct DIS name on the line that had our information on it......so hopefully lots of others will do the same so the list can get back to being accurate.

I took care of ours also. If everyone just corrects their DIS name with their other info it will be correct.

Hey, found myself and corrected it. Almost harmless, not as bad as I was imagining it. :rotfl2: Hey, I've been here twice today. That's excellent for me. :thumbsup2

Just want some clarification as I'm rarely on here, are we supposed to PM threebritts to let her know if we want to do the FE gifts? Or is putting it on the roll call spreadsheet enough? Thanks anyone who can confirm. Appreciate it.

:scratchin Before I forget, seeing as I know we have quite a few experts who know their wine on here, there is a wine store in Signal Hill about 15 min from the port by side streets (as the crow flies it would be like 5 min) that specializes in out of the ordinary and specialty wines. I went there looking for a Madeira wine and found it and another wine. This is not your average store and thus some of the prices might be a bit higher but I was told and the reviews state that if your looking for a particular wine, chances are they will have it. It seems to be hit or miss with customer service as in they'll leave you alone and other times, they are all over you. So, if you know what you want and can't find it elsewhere, check here. Anyway, while not on a direct route to the port a sidetrip might be worth it if your looking for that special wine, check here. Don't want to get in trouble but if anyone is interested let me know unless its ok to post it here? Anyone know?

Threebritts is busy starting a new job. Since the cruise is so many weeks out I do not think many feel a lot of pressure about FEs yet. Some have other cruises first. My take on it--as one not participating however--is that you put yourself on the FE spread sheet now and can get an idea of who else may participate. Keep in mind that we have had some folks cancel already and more may do so, so the list may not be accurate as those who left may not have removed themselves from the lists.

I think you can post links to any business that is not a travel agency. The DIS is run by Dreams Unlimited which is a travel agency so that posting a link to a travel agency would seem impolite. You can try. Sometimes people post the link with a space in it and tell us where to take the space out to make it work.

We somehow are off the list...:confused3...will add our names again :)
I thought this same thing at first, it took me a couple of passes to find us, but we were there. I took at peek for your old record, and it looks like it is #91 (based on your Traveler 1 and Traveler 2 names) with the wrong DisName of KingRichard.

Thanks Jan.

The name of the wine store is: the wine country (dot) com just take out the space and put the dot in and you'll come across their site. They are located in a 7000 sq ft warehouse bldg and while intimindating for a non wine drinker, I had no problems and even spoke with the owner in regards to what I needed.

Hi everyone,

Sorry I haven't been on here that much lately and I know I have alot of catching up to do. I've been contacting many different hotels for group rates :thumbsup2 and so far I have received prices for Ayres Hotel; Doubletree in San Pedro; Hyatt Long Beach; and Portofino Inn. :surfweb: I am still waiting for rates from Queen Mary; Paradise Pier; and Candy Cane Inn. I am trying to get the best price that they can give us and see if they can throw anything in like a breakfast etc etc. I should have all the rates next week.

If there are any other places that I might have forgotten, please let me know. If everyone could let me know where they might prefer to stay so I can call them on Monday with a more accurate count, that would be good. Either PM me, send me an email to Bweiss923@aol.com, or call me at 215-219-5400.

For those of you that you booking on your own, please make sure that you know what you are getting. :confused3 Some places might charge an extra resort fee per day and don't forget the taxes when trying to budget your money.

so I don't want to start any sort of political dialogue or bru-haha here on the thread....but I am excited to say that we aren't certain about details because we haven't set a firm date yet...but that there is a VERY good chance that following the vote last night in the NY state senate that this cruise to Hawaii will be my and Jason's official honeymoon!!!

(We're definitely getting married legally at the courthouse the first day the new law goes into effect so that we have the papers and benefits.....but then we're going to plan a ceremony/reception for friends and family later on with some time to plan....and one of our possible plans is to do it right before this cruise so that this can be our honeymoon :lovestruc:lovestruc)

I am so happy New York did that. I wish the people here would be more accepting. I am all in favor of same sex marriages. I say congratulations to you both.

Hi Guys,

I was thinking about you but hesitated to contact you. I'm very happy for you. I remember you saying that you did not want to act until your state did it. Way to hang in there guys, you got your wish, and much sooner than you probably expected. Keep us posted, very happy for you guys! :woohoo:

:cheer2:YEAH! :cheer2: I have good friends planning a ceremony in Illinois, their home state. They were married in California (and honeymooned at Disneyland!) a few years ago and are very excited to be able to do it again at HOME!

Congratulations! I'm very glad my home state of NY (grew up in Poughkeepsie :scared1:, yes, Poughkeepsie!) has finally come out of the dark ages! Having been here in Massachusetts before, during, and AFTER same-sex marriage became legal, I can say to all the critics that "the world as we know it has not come to an end...only a new beginning"! Best wishes to you both!
