My WDW obsession started at age 10 but my hubby's started in 1997...the year of the cake castle. It got really bad when our third child was about 6 months old. We started going from 2 weeks to 6 weeks per year. Eventually we took our children out of public school and entered k12 so we could travel whenever we wanted. I have a feeling the Disney cruise line may be the next obsession for us. That's a good thing, right?

I know how he feels.. All my life, I dreamed about going to WDW, when I finally got to go, on our honeymoon, in 2006 at the age of 31, I became a lifelong fan!.. Then, we went in 2009 and took or oldest son, and that is when I pretty much started the annual WDW and/or Disney Cruise trip! Not to sound cliche', but I have to admit, that there is something about Disney that is "magical"~.. I can see where he gets his new obsession. My only issue now is that my oldest will be starting school beginning in the 2012 school year, so not sure when we will take our annual Disney trips!

And now that I am taking my Mom on her first Disney trip (this cruise), we may have a new Disney Travel fanatic!

My kids missed one week for our first cruise last week. it's almost the end of the school year here, so I think it was not that bad.....next year they will be 1st and 2nd grade and if we don't have too much snow days (we had 10 this school year), we should be done with school before we sail or right after. When they get older and higher grades we will probably need to find cruises around their holidays or in summer time.

When I go to vistaprint, there is no place for first name and last name in sign-on. They want email and password.

I just tried this out and the log in details work on the UK site for those of us in the UK as well.

Are we going for white t shirts? I had a play around with Vistaprint yesterday and the logo looks rather good on a black t shirt, too.

I think we should see what other logo ideas we can come up with and then the group could vote on one we want to use for a group tee-shirt. I think we have at least 2 good ones now but there may be others.

Also just my opinion.

I don't think we need only one logo. Different designs work better for different uses. Something that looks good on a tee-shirt may not work best as profile thread log-on art (can't think what we call the are at the bottom of our postings.)

What do the rest of you think? Does anyone have any other logo ideas? How long should we wait to pick?

I agree the black looks better then the white.

My only concern would be that black shirts can absorb so much more heat when your in a hot area.

That brings up a subject that those visiting the islands for the first time might want to the consider, the weather. There can be a big difference between the weather in Kauai to the north and Hawaii in the south. Also, the lee side of any island and the seashore versus in the mountains. Also, there are wonderful tradewinds that cool the air and can really make you forget how hot the sun is on your skin. Be prepared for afternoon showers that last only a few minutes.

I agree with your idea. Already made graphics are wonderful, but maybe someone will come with some more

I think people can and should create whatever logos they think are most fun...for shirts, magnets, signature avatars...whatever!

And we'll be doing the same for lanyards----we may very well come up with something entirely unique for the name badges. On the WBTA last year the logo for the cruise that was adopted by the group and lots of people had on shirts was not what we put on the lanyards and I still think everything worked out great.....so I think logos and artwork work just like a party does----the more the merrier!! (just my 2 cents)

Hey folks!!

OK....at this point there are 24 people who have volunteered to be on the lanyard team (including myself and Jason)....and so that means that we are ideally looking for only one more person....the very next PM I get will be the 25th slot!

(Note: If you still want to be on the lanyard team, you are welcome to send me a note even after the team is full....because the PIF date is still a long ways out and life often gets in the way of vacations, some current members may have to cancel or step down....and if so then we might be looking for replacement members)

You make your own ressies if you can because you won't find out if you got the private room until a couple of weeks before the cruise. If your group gets the room then your own ressie will be cancelled by DCL and you will be on the list for the group brunch. The room holds up to 14.

Yes, men's and women's, but I have never ordered them so can't speak to the quality of the product. Maybe someone else on the boards has purchased them from Vista and can address that.
