In the garden still!!:lmao: The garden is the whole thing, grass, flower beds, patio, decking, vegetable plot, fruit garden. Everything!

Great.. Thanks for clarifing...Because here we have the a yard, and then we have "gardens".. :rotfl2:... In which we grow our veggies, flower beds etc.. Sometimes you just have to ask dumb questions, because your curiosity gets the better of you!..

Everyone that is cruising this coming week - have a great time and calm seas.

ibouncetoo- wish we were going with you on the TA. It was fun last time. See you on the Hawaiian cruise. Have a great time.

Are most of you just doing the cruise, or are you adding on days at DL / somewhere else ? We will be doing a stop-over in Hawaii on the way over (we bought DVC on the last trip), and we also want to spend time at DL. Cheers,
Sally :)

Hi Sally,

Will you be staying at Aulani in HI then? It looks so great. Harry and I went to that complex in November 2009 to do some snorkeling in the little man-made lagoons there and were very impressed with the whole area. They were building another hotel or something then, but we never imagined it was going to be a Disney resort.

We are planning to stay in Anaheim at the Worldmark timeshare for a week after the cruise as we haven't been to California in a few years. (In fact, I think the last time we were there was when we ran into Scott and Lynn at California Adventure, and that's been quite a while ago, although I can't recall exactly when.)

Before the cruise I think we'll just fly down the day before and stay near the port.

Beth

I still find it funny to read Americans say they are mowing the yard!!!:lmao:

I have a quick question for our platinum cruisers. Since we have zero interest in going to Palo for dinner, is there a way to let them give you brunch instead. If you have done it, how did you get them to do it. Thanks.

Do you mean for your "free" meal? If that's what you mean, you just book it & if you haven't booked a dinner, they'll give you the brunch as your perk.

Yes I did mean the "Free" meal. Thank you. I was told it was Dinner only. Glad to hear there is a way.

I had brunch with 6 Platinums on the MV of the Dream in January. I was the only "lowly" gold :lmao:. I was the only one that had to pay.

I myself say that I am mowing the grass..:rotfl:.. So do you mow the garden? Because if we were to say that we were going to mow the garden, people would think we were nuts!.. They would think we were mowing our veggies or something!..

No, we do actually say mowing the lawn!! :rotfl2:

This is all great info. Did any of you have to ask or did they just do it?

It was booked by a Platinum member, linked with 2 other Platinum level rooms. Deb (ellaenchanted) added me in the D Lounge onboard, and then when we went into Palo, we made sure to mention to the server that I was only gold.

It's kind of like we take a vacation, and you take a holiday. To us, a holiday is something we celebrate, Christmas, Thanksgiving.. etc. I try to decipher!.. :cool1:

I just think it is amazing how some of our meanings of words differ. It can be so very funny!!!

I do know that I WAY overpacked for him!... That was for sure.. It was one of those things where I was like, well, I want to make sure he has plenty of seasonl clothes, but what if its cold, then what if he makes a mess...Turned out I didn't use half the stuff I had taken for him.

I am not sure where your little one will me when it comes to eating solid foods, but Luke was in the transition between baby food, and soft big people foods, I found that most of the meals had things that he could eat, but I did not figure this out until I had bought a LOT of packaged baby foods. Please keep in mind we were only on a 4 nighter at that time. I can imagine traveling with an infant on a ship for 4 days is much different that for 16 days!.. I think it will all depend on your little one.

Thanks for the tips. I found that I overpacked for the girls on our last cruise, I will really have to be careful when packing this time, especially with 3 kids. Luckily the girls are nearly the same size so they can share some stuff.
Didn't need to wash once last trip, but I will this time. Less packing = more shopping space in the luggage! :thumbsup2
Food, Hmmm...I suppose I'll just have to see where we are when it's cruise time. I have read that DCL will make you mashed veges for babies if requested, so that's always good to know.

I do have one question I can't seem to find an answer to, Did you take a pram / stroller? Did it fit through the stateroom doors, was it always it the way? I will take our Baby Bjorn carrier, but was wondering whether I will need to buy a small umbrella stroller as I have a Bugaboo and it may be too big to fit some places? :confused3

Thanks for you help, I really appreciate it! :flower3:

They do have strollers on board you can borrow throughout the cruise. I believe there was a deposit, which was removed from your account when you return the stroller.

This didn't work that way for us on the Dream last month...! :confused3

Maybe it's a Dream thing since they only do brunch on some sailings (?), but they told us before we went (phone) it's always for dinner ONLY. I would love for it to be brunch too, because we usually skip dinner there...not any interest after a couple hohum ones.

I'm definitely going to check on our ebta next month!!!

.

OK....our flight leaves Rochester in just 9.5 hours for our trip to DisneyLand and then our cruise from LA up to Vancouver then the first Alaskan...and we just finished packing...finally!! Now it's time to get to bed so we can rest up for the trip...

....but before I head to bed wanted to post and let everyone know that we're going to be trying to blog this trip like we did our last...anyone who wants to follow along can do it at:

Have a great trip, We'll be following along

We have always brought our own umbrella stroller. The Disney strollers are joggers. We prefer the smaller stroller, particularly when site-seeing. Ours has been on 4 cruises and 2 trips to Europe.
