No, I'm not on the wrong thread. :rotfl2: I know that I met many of you on the WBTA cruise last September. I'm doing a 12 night Med Cruise next month leaving out of Barcelona and looking for a hotel for a pre and post night. :confused3Which hotel did you stay at? Did you like it? Would you stay there again? Any and all input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Bev

Before both our Med cruise and the WBTA last year, we stayed on the outskirts of Barcelona at the Holiday Inn Express at Molins de Rey. We liked the hotel and it was much cheaper than staying in Barcelona itself.

We stayed at the Praktik Rambla in Barcelona last year. A large number of our Dis group did. It is lovely and quite historic. The rooms are small because of the building.

It was a bit more money there this year so we are staying at the Acta Atrium Palace which does a cruise rate and looks lovely. There are a few Acta hotels but this is close to Las Ramblas where we like to be. There is a small pool and the rooms look bigger though not as cute as the Praktik Rambla.

There are so so many hotels to choose from. We looked first at the area we wanted to stay in and went from there.

I checked the DCL website this morning at 530 am and found an 11A stateroom, which I quickly snatched up! I don't believe it but I am booked on a Disney (I should say THE ONLY DISNEY CRUISE) to HAWAII!!!

Whew! I am glad that worked out so quickly! I have only been searching for a cabin for about a week now....

:thumbsup2:cool1::banana:

:cool1:....I saw that it was open....then I checked again and it was gone....

Glad you got it....I sent you a PM....but I don't think you can get PM's yet...

Robin & Angel "D" :thumbsup2

Will/Is there a way to ship stuff directly to the ship in LA like there is in FL? We are thinking about shipping our FE stuff (once we get it) directly to the ship so that we can save some money instead of shipping to AK first. (sorry if this question has already been addressed...I haven't read all of the pages yet).

A photography group idea sounds really cool. I know my husband will be excited for an excuse to use his camera some more!

Welcome to all the newcomers! We're so glad that you'll be on board will us!

Hi Everyone,

This is our first post because WE JUST BOOKED!!! Yes, it was a minor miracle requiring what was probably our entire quota of pixie dust, but who cares? We're going! I tried DU but was told the ship was booked, then figured I'd call DCL and ask if there was a waiting list. The agent, Linda, checked the cruise and gasped...there was a cabin available! We're in Cat. 11A, but that's quite all right...we're going. Have I told you we're going?

I know there are a few of you that we met on the Transatlantic last year (MrsMork convinced us we should take this cruise), so a big shout out to all of you. And we can't wait to meet everyone else.

WE'RE GOING!!!! :yay::yay::yay::cool1::cool1::cool1:

:banana:whoooohooo! congrats to you. I also have recently booked this cruise and was so very excited to actually get a cabin! I can not wait!
welcome

I just booked a 10B for DH & I. I've been checking DCL multiple times a day and I finally got a cabin.... birthday pixie dust for me!!! :banana::banana:

Allan what is the best airport if we want to stay at the Queen Mary? Is it still LAX or is something else better? Coming from ECP.

If you are set on using SWA then yes LAX if you want to venture to Jet Who, oops I mean Blue, you can fly to Long Beach and that would be best.
