Welcome to the group. I am Jon and my DW is Candida. Where in Ontario are you from? We live in the Niagara Region. There are a some other from Ontario with us on the cruise and will be trying for a pre-cruise meet after Christmas.

Jon

Hi Jon,

We are actually from PEI but moved to Ontario about 9 years ago for my DH's work. We now live in Brampton. I think the pre-cruise meet is a great idea!

I just wanted to say thanks for all the warm welcomes! I know this will be a wonderful trip with many wonderful people:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

Yeah it's amazing what you can do when you're young and energetic. I was also working a full time and another part time job that summer. Looking back I can't believe it I survived. I guess you never know what you can do unless you do it... but I would never ever try to do that again.

lol, I try not to think about it...I definately can't keep up that kind of pace. I can barely manage 6 credits these days....but two classes to go and I am done....no more (I say that now, but who knows when the requirements will change again) I plan on walking in spring of '13 (just because of when the last class is offered no other reason)

Hi all .. found the new thread!!! Summer has been crazy, what with my Mom and trying to find a placement for my Brother. The latter is proving to be quite the task, but we are getting closer .. cross your fingers.

I hope to get more involved soon, especially with the Secret Mickey.

Jon .... Please be sure to let me know about the Ontario meet ... Would love to see my Canadian shipmates before the big cruise!!!

Is anyone set up to link the early dining? If not, I can take this on. Not sure what needs to be done, but I'm sure someone could help me out :thumbsup2

Val ... Thank you so much for organizing the shirt ... I'll be sure to get my order in before Dec. 1

FE gifts are planned out, just need to get my act together  and get moving!

One more thought ... is anyone planning any group excursions that they need more folks for? If so, can you pm me and let me know details! Thanks. Haven't had time to see if this has been discussed yet.

Ta ta for now ... or as Tigger would say ttfn :tigger:

Hi everyone!!!

Chris and I will be joining you! We are going to take the train to La from Ontario, Canada.

So far my plans include driving to MI and getting the train from there. It is 2 nights on the train and the route mimics the old route 66. We plan to get to LA 4 or 5 days before the cruise so we can do Disneyland - oh and drive to Vegas and get MARRIED:bride:

We always said that if we get to Vegas would would get married so this cruise will be my Honeymoon cruise :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

So I have so much to do and I don't know where to start!

Looking forward to meeting some new DIS friends!!!

Marcy

If you need someone to stand up for you, I live in Las Vegas. I love weddings. :lovestrucAnd we are going on the cruise too.:banana:

I need a little help from anyone who lives in the LA area, or is expierenced in driving there.

We are stationed in a remote location overseas, and the only flight that we can take to make sure that we are there before the cruise, has us arriving on April 21st. Our plan is to rent a car (already reserved) at the airport, drive to Disneyland and stay there until the morning of the cruise on the 29th, and then drop the car off at the port.

Can you give me information on the driving conditions? We would like to spend our first few days driving into LA to visit the common tourist spots before hitting the parks the last four days. Any advice would greatly be appreciated.

We were with Paula in LA a few weeks ago on the ABD Backstage Magic trip. We arrived 2 days early, rented a car at the airport and drove everywhere including Santa Monica, Hollywood, and Burbank. With the GPS it was no problem and the traffic was manageable. The highlight of our self guided tour was the LA farmers market. I high;y recommend an afternoon there. It's like the food and wine festival. At one point we had corned beef sandwiches, sushi, and donuts on our table.

You might want to think about spending a few nights in Hollywood. It's near all the touristy spots and you'll avoid a lot of traffic that way. We were at the Renaissance. Not cheap, but a great location.

Just saying hi, well off to Club 33 today. :yay::yay::yay: I hope everyone has a great day. maybe I will post a pics later tonight.

Hope you had a great time at Club 33- We are so jealous.

My daughter is in Spain now for World Youth Day. She took a group of 17 teenagers to experience this event with the Pope. EWTN tv covers it. Keep her and her group in your thoughts that they have a safe journey. Thanks

Wow - I haven't been on here in a few days and I am 15 pages behind.

I do want to order a shirt - 3xl - I also want some fabric.

I am waiting to send in my form because I may order shirts for my traveling companions if they want one. I have emailed to see if they are interested.

Can't wait to see what kind of excursions are going to be available but my favorite parts of cruising are sea days so I am really looking forward to those.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Hey Alan, hope you had a fantastic time. We want all the details! Please!

I know this is our cruise thread, but can anyone fill me in on what the heck "Club 33" is? Sounds great and I should be very envious, but have zero clue as to why. Thanks so much in advance!

We are on a short jaunt in the RV. We have been on the road for about 10 days. Today we are in South Dakota heading to Mt. Rushmore. We will spend a couple of nights there then head over to Little Big Horn for a couple of nights before we head back home.

Located within Disneyland, discreetly above the Blue Bayou in New Orleans Square is perhaps one of Orange County's finest five star restaurants. With a limited membership of only 487, Club 33 is not open to the public. Members may however arrange for their friends and associates to experience the club.
If you are a Disney fan, we truly cannot express what a tremendous experience Club 33 has to offer.

Presidents of the United States, leaders of foreign nations, dignitaries, actors, and business leaders from around the world have all enjoyed the club. It is not unusual to be enjoying your meal, only to have a famous actor or well known celebrity sitting at the table next to you. There are many such stories, just ask any member or Club 33 staff.

Here is a link that explains it all http://www.disneylandclub33.com/

Val:

Mission accomplished I was able to get Candida to try on the shirt I got. I will send you the order form now.
