I'm sending my order in right now. I'm only very confused about kids sizes and not sure which size to order. I might need to take kids order off later if I can't figure it out how big they are.

Val, I have my shirt order mostly filled out, but I haven't done the measurements to make sure I have the right sizes, and I'm totally guessing on the kids sizes. I'm also struggling a bit with money feeling a bit tight right now so I'm feeling a bit wishy-washy on committing. Anyway, I do want to decide soon and get this to you as quickly as possible, but do you have a estimate of when you would like to "know" the committed orders, so I can insure I don't procastinate too long?

And now I have a question or two or three... we are planning on arriving on the Friday night before the cruise and are considering staying in Long Beach for the two nights prior. I've heard its slightly nicer than San Pedro and we have toured the Queen Mary a couple of years back so thought Long Beach might be a good choice... thoughts? Any recommendations on places to stay - doesn't need to be too fancy, just something clean and quiet and preferably near something to do/somewhere to eat as we will be walking around.

We like the Hyatt Regency Long Beach. Nearby it has The Aquarium of the Pacific (http://www.aquariumofpacific.org/), Queen Mary (http://www.queenmary.com/), The Pike at Long Beach (http://www.thepikeatlongbeach.com/), and Shoreline Village (http://www.shorelinevillage.com/).

Got it! thanks. As I get new orders will edit the posting and repost every now and then.

I completely understand how things are difficult and uncertain for a lot of us. Use your own judgement, but I would say if it is more likely you won't order shirts then will, wait and don't send in the form. What we want to do now is determine the price of the shirts based on the number ordered. However, if you think you will, especially if we get the lower pricing, send me an order form.

No one should feel any pressure to order the shirts. It will be great if a lot of us have them but if you don't it doesn't mean your not one of us. Don't forget we will have Eric and Jason's great lanyards too. Val

we are just outside of Williamsburg, just West ....

I think the group photo would be a great momento to have...we could let shutters know that we would have a bout 50+ cameras for pictures....

Happy Sunday everyone!

I have been away from the thread for a while and can't believe we are already on the second thread! Things were a bit unsure about this cruise for a while, but now we are fully committed! DH and I surprised DMIL with the cruise on her birthday and she was completely shocked! She was so happy, she called all her friends to tell them right away. It was so good to be able to do that for her.
I sent a message to Val about the shirts, so we are in for a group picture for sure! We will be wearing them on embarkation day as well as some other day I am sure. The design is so cute! Thank you Val, for all of your hard work!
As far as excursions go, I am just so grateful that every port is in Hawaii. It is a completely different, less stressful process to plan and so many more choices are open to us than other cruises. I think we are going to do excursions outside DCL for every port, unless DCL comes up with something amazing.
I hope everyone is well and I look forward to chatting with you these coming months!

Matching shirts times 200 REALLY priceless!

Perhaps there'll be a "Hawaiian night?" This is new ground, so there aren't any old navigators to go by - but i've seen 'tropical nights' and 'Mexican' nights before on other cruises.

In California, I've found Karmel Shuttle to be reliable. (I found the reccomendation on the DIS California board) 3 of us from port to Candy Cane inn was 67$. The driver was safe and friendly, helped with the luggage, was awaiting our call in the cell phone lot. Each of us also used them (seperately) from CCI to the airport and it was either 21 or 23 $ each. The driver was early in all three cases (how reassuring!).
