Hello All!

We just got back from the Alaska cruise and I sent an email to my DU rep asking for her to be on the look-out for a Hawaii ressie and she emailed today - wahoo!! :woohoo:

We got a cat 10C although I was hoping for a cat 9, but with the price bump since release, it is probably a blessing.

Now I just need to fully convince my hubby this is BETTER than just flying to Hawaii for a visit. :thumbsup2

Good Luck & :welcome: aboard!!! :cool1:

Robin & Angel "D" :thumbsup2

You know it was weird on the ebta too....we went to several DVC sales pitches & events, and they would never even talk about Hawaii! When we asked they said, Oh come to see us & we can talk about it, but you really should buy Bay lake Towers! the whole push was for BLT & they didn't even talk about Hawaii....said there was a DVD "somewhere around here" & they see if they could find it later.... :confused3 We just thought that was the weirdest thing. Then we stayed on for the first Med cruise & again, the big sell was for BLT....different sales group with the new itinerary too. Oh well - looks like other errors were made too - thanks for sharing the link!

Very clever - I got your order form - thank you.

I have been updating the shirt order information as I get the order forms back. This information can be found on page one, 3rd posting, along with the links to the order form and size charts.

Sorry Val, I might have sent you another order tonight. When I logged into my email tonight your email was still in the draft folder. Yesterday was a long day for me, it started when the phone started ring at 4am for a call out. my day didn't end until somewhere around 10pm. So, I thought in my lack of sleep I hadn't sent the email. Please ignore the duplicate email.

Jon

Not to rain on that rumor but the Miceage columnist Al Lutz has been reporting that for over a year.

We have done the helicopter tour on Maui. The helicopter leaves from the Kahalui Airport. You can see Haleakala Crater and waterfalls, etc. It is fun. The ship will port in just 5 minutes from the Kahalui airport, however the helicopter pad is all the way around the other side and you have to travel all the way around the airport, so I would guesstimate about 15 minute drive.

Someone asked about rental cars in Maui. Like I said the airport is just 5 minutes from the port, we have used National and Hertz in the past. The drive to Hana is well worth it, however, you need to NOT be afraid of cliffs and narrow winding roads. Plan on all day in order to take the road to Hana and the Seven Sacred Pools. There are several beautiful stops along the way where you can hike and see waterfalls and even swim.

Hi Linda :wave2:

Have fun on your return cruise to Alaska....wish we were joining you....

Yes, we are doing the road to Hana in Maui so it makes sense for us to do the helicopter tour on the Big Island. Nobody in our party is keen on driving in Maui, so we are looking at tours. But most pick up earlier than we disembark. I am going to have to contact a company when the date gets closer to see if we can do a couple of abbreviated stops to stay within a good timeframe that gets us back to the ship with some time to spare.

The road to Hana is beautiful. If you are doing a tour, make sure you determine whether anyone in your group is at all prone towards car sickness. We are very comfortable driving down our California coastal highways, but found the road to Hana to be a long, windy drive (Bob swears he saw our taillights on some of the turns). Like driving in the Big Sur area, for long stretches there is nowhere to pull off and stop. And the road can be very narrow and bumpy in places, creating a real challenge for drivers -- especially if they tend to gaze at scenery.

I saw someone yesterday asked if there was a Club 33 Hawaian shirt, unfortunately there was not. If they dud have one I would have gotten that insted of the black Polo.

I am guessing that once Disney "officially" starts signing contracts with tour groups over there for our stops the local companies not contrated to Disney will quickly be making new "special" tours for the day we are in port. Thinking local helicopter companies are definitely going have something to offer Disney cruisers directly.

Ladies....if you think you might want to go to the pajama breakfast wanted to let you know that right now Wal-Mart has a selection of gowns and pj's in assorted Disney prints and they are only $14-$16. I buy their sleepwear a lot because it is so soft and comfortable...especially for everyday wear. And they really last. Most of the time they stay looking good a lot longer then my Macy or Nordstrom gowns that are the same age. I got a gown and put it away for cruise...and it doesn't even have Tinkerbell like I usually go for:eek:

First off, I want to thank Judy, Pixiegran for all her help with the administrative side of our Hawaiian shirt ordering.

The count of shirts ordered is as follows:

Adult Shirts - 63 - Children 8 - material 26 yards

The breakdown is as follows:

small - 7
medium - 8
large - 17
XL - 14
XXl -10
XXXL - 7

Please refer to page 1, posting #3 for a detailed listing of orders and check that I have your order correct. On this posting you will also find information on ordering and the links to the form and size charts.

We were lucky enough to have breakfast at Club 33 on our ABD Back Stage Magic trip earlier this month. It was amazing. The ladies room has to be seen to be believed (my wife practically drug me in there to see the place).
