If they know about it - I have been told, so this is second hand, that they have stopped card games that money was involved in.

True story that happened on the Magic this past September '11. We took to going to diversions and this group of friends would always play poker in there. I was curious as I already knew about their policy of no money exchanging hands. Sure enough, it wasn't but 5 min in when the DCL police came "casually strolling" by. Took a quick glance and then used the swinging doors into the cm's area (the one the entertainers use to access stage and where they store all the bingo stuff. Then about 3 mi items later he makes another pass. 5 minutes after that he passed a third time this time stopping. The players quickly explained they were only playing for fun and pointed out that there was no money on the table. The CM quickly negated that that was the real reason he was staring at them but I think the fact that he passed 3 times was a dead giveaway. After their "talk" he didn't pass again but I'm sure the cameras were on them the entire time. So he didn't stop them from playing but they were being observed. When the '08 PC held a tournament, they held it on deck 9 and they were patrolled also. So keep that in mind

Looking to finish up organizing my FE's and I am missing some information on the following families:

Eeyorluver10-What are children's names and ages? Are you bring both of your girls and your

Hi there, it's actually eeyorlvr10. - no u (misspelled on list) but please do t worry about my kids, they are all grown up. I just haven't adjusted to them. They'll always be my kids. It's just me. Thanks! :)

Well, I don't think he is the only one. I always have the feeling that some of the crew feels a bit threatened by the DIS. On the WBTA in 2010 I got quite friendly with some of the cruise staff and a number of them admitted that they do not really like that the DIS members are organizing so many different activities and that this often means that they are not supporting stuff that the cruise staff puts on.

I'm not sure which cruise it was maybe EBPC in 2008(?) but at the sailaway party they actually asked who were first time, repeaters and Disboarders (it was a big group).

No laundry. Laundry is a chore. Chores are not done on vacation. Of course I am not flying for this trip so I do not need to worry about bag weight problems for flying. Maybe Kim should tell her boss she needs to go on the ship so that their is not another famous DCL pin line again. I just can't believe they have not figured this out yet.

We were joking about laundry on this trip and decided we are all travelling nude... just kidding :rotfl2:

We are planning on not doing laundry this trip at this stage, which will take some creative packing into a 20kg (45lb) limit each... We have two nights prior and 1 night post cruise as well.

This is a notice for all those who I have arranged to link for the early/main dining.

This is the email below I received from my TA - while this probably isn't possible to arrive together (its approximately 70 people...) I suggest those that had specific requirements (such as regarding mobiilty issues or not wanting to sit at tables with some of our younger guests) that you may like to arrive a few minutes earlier on the first night to confirm this.

I was advised they will place you all in the same general area in the dining rooms, but that it would be best for your group to arrive together if possible and then those tables with specific needs (all adults, pre-teen children, etc) can work with your Head Server to determine the best fit in your section.

So my job here is done, I hope you all enjoy your table mates company and if you don't well... sorry, did my best ;)

Whoo hoo! Am getting a late start on FE gifts but I need some info before I can begin. If you are in group #9 please send me a PM with the gender and ages of your children. Also, please let me know if your stateroom adults are two males or two females. No need to respond if your stateroom adults are male/female combinations.

Thanks in advance and I am very excited to get going on my FE gifts!

I will let you know if she is going to be onboard, I will see her for the MV of the Fantasy...I doubt it, since the RSP for the fall pin event is due to go out any day now. She had a hard time with the MV of the Dream. Oddly enough she wasn't involved with Alaska at all - that went fairly well. The wristband thing seemed to work, but again - it caused a line. I agree with earlier posts about the form in the cabin (I do not recall which cruise that was on - the first TA or MED maybe?)

I had the form for the pins for the 2005 EBPC-worked very well. I guess they learned a little something frome the WB?

Can someone help this native L.A. boy who grew up by the coast? What is this thing called snow you are talking about?

I know, I know......it is white stuff that is not sand. And it is cold...It falls out of the sky about once ever 100 years and when it does they let the kids out of school and prisoners out of jails and everyone dances in the streets. The one weatherman that predicted snow is laughed at by her peers until it comes true and she gets a super job in New York.

I think it was 1977....:goodvibes

Count me in as one who is doing laundry. We did so on our last long voyage and it worked fine. I even met some nice cruisers who were on the same schedule as I was....laundry buddies so to speak. We will see when the time comes. I am trying to downsize the suitcase contents.

Now if only I could find the steamer trunk.:lmao:

Can you list who you have in your Palo group also please. I am not sure if I am included in one or not...thought I was but I am losing track of some things.....:confused3...maybe doing too much :rotfl2:

The second group include:
Ssnyder
Robin"D" + one, Susan
cdndisneydaddy
AlohaDisney
sshaw10060
socababy

ooohhh the line on the WBPC in 05...I wasn't on the EB - so they did it for a couple of cruises..wonder why they stopped?

I don't get this weather ... We hit 27 Celcius today ... that's 80 Farenheit. This is Record Breaking for us ... Last year it was 10 Celcius (around 50 Farenheit). They are out of desk fans at Walmart! :rotfl:

Yay! The weather has motivated me to get outside everyday and exercise... time to get in shape for Hawaii!

White frozen precipitation. I should ask you about the glowing orb in the sky. We rarely see it here!

We get it all here!... We haven't seen that bright orb in the sky since Sunday.. It has been grey and cloudy here ALL week! But, the temps have been ok..

That was on EBPC. :thumbsup2 First time I heard them mention the Disers. :rotfl2:

There was a form for EBPC in 2008. I just don't understand that if it's not broke why fix it ? :confused3 That worked soooooo well. We filled out a form and got our pins.:)

Same here-I saw some people wearing blinking cruise ship pins and asked where those came from because I wanted to get one. Then on the 2007 Med cruise I met a couple of Diser's on my excursions and that's when I joined the group. Glad I did!

I think I am probably out of luck, but I am going to ask anyway. I have found something on Etsy that I really love. Unfortunately the seller does not have any suitable fabric for my purpose, but has offered to do this for me if I can provide some fabric. I really would love to use our fabric. I would need two pieces measuring approximately 14" wide and 12" long. The seller is in USA so postage would be easy. Are there people out there who could sell me some fabric?

Corinna

Please pm me...thanks.

Thank you Paula for arranging the early dining.

I guess my eye problem is getting the best of me. I am looking for the cabin number of mermaidloving. I spelled it wrong on an earlier post.

Also the person arranging the first Palo group- which I think I am in- have you heard anything on the date?

I remember getting forms for pins on the PC. There is no way with a double knee replacement and a husband with nerve damage in his legs are we going to stand for hours in line for the pins. I hope DCL listens to us and makes it easy to obtain the pins. Th e forms were the best and most efficient idea.

Going to DW today- not the parks. we love to go to Port Orleans and have their beniges ( spelling?) and then go to the Marketplace and poke around . We might even go to the flea market on 192 . I will have to see how my eyes and our legs do during the day.

Dennis and I know that there are ellipticals and weight machines. Are there treadmills and most importantly yoga mats to borrow?
