Okay Deb, we not only like the same room on that massive boat, but now we like the same bubbly!!! A kindred spirit!!!

Oh yes, I have tried White Star - very nice!! Years ago my (then) boyfriend was manager of a high end restaurant with a giant wine cellar. So on special occasions he would always open a bottle of Dom. Also got to try great french vintage reds like Chateau Lafite Rothchild (sp?), and love a good red too! But......this is all a very distant memory, having been married 24 yrs (to someone else)!! I think the veuve clicquot is very yummy too, though I don't want to pay those cruise ship prices....did I mention I'm also pretty cheap? :rotfl2:

Thanks so much for arranging this!! :flower3:
.

Kindred spirits indeed.....did I tell you that mine and John's first date was a wine tasting? April 29th is the 22nd anniversary of that day. So we're celebrating! It all started with the wine.....until we discovered champagne. I still love wine.....white or red, but I love champagne more.

Although I know the names, Chateau Lafette Rothschild and Madame Veuve Clicquot....but I have not had the pleasure of sampling them....due to the pricey amounts that they cost. I'll stick with the more middle of the road prices like the Moet Chandon. If ever given the opportunity, don't get me wrong, I would jump all over it. But not if I'm paying....hahaha.

"I'm fine with the rough seas as long as I'm not doing the Champage Girls tasting. That happened to us on the Alaska cruise. It was not pleasant."

We were two of the missing from that occasion :-( too ill feeling to get out of bed not to mention way to rough to push a wheel chair.... But this time all will be good. Just try not to have it until at least day 3 so we are really out to sea and not trying to get out of local currents...the issue on Alaska cruise ....

Judy, I learned from that cruise. I was always used to sailing on the eastern and western and southern carribbean cruises....calm seas. Then I did the Alaska and nearly fell over.

I requested the day before we hit the islands as my first choice and the day before that as my second choice. Hopefully we will get lucky.

Trying to finish up the FE. I ended up enough for 75 cabins and don't know if I can get more stuff to do all 88. I have 41 children.I hope I did not miss any of the kids.

I come up with 39 kids. If they don't have an age after their name I figured they were adult "kids"...like my daughter traveling with me. Corinna did you do an child total count?

49 days until sailing :scared1:

I have to start finding where I have put all the stuff for FE, Secret Mickey, matching shirts and the suitcases.

Everything will land in the guest room, I hope we do not have any company before we sail!

:cool1::banana:

Arizona and City Tour time change

I have seen a few posts of people posting that the time of the excursion had changed from 8 am to 9:15 am....I know there were 2 excursions for this particular excursion (regular and adult only) and I was wondering which tour the people that got the call were on since we have not received a call (we booked adult only departure)....I checked my excursions on line and mine still says 8 am....

Thanks in advance

We were in Tropical Storm Gamma on the Magic in 2005....:sick::sick:And that was the crew!!!! The decks were closed, Formal night was a disaster but I met one of the very BEST crew members ever and have followed her as she has gone from ship to ship....Benita.....she is now on the Dream and in January was in 687. Her old fashioned remedy worked.......I had been down for the count and then some....ever since, motion sickness tablets are in my bag....Losing two days on a 7 night cruise was not fun......

But, we will have nice weather, we will have nice weather, we will have nice weather....(where is that Dorothy and Toto smilie anyway???):goodvibes

We LOVE Benita!!! She was in Cove Cafe for the founding gatherings of the Geezers.:woohoo: She took such good care of us! :goodvibes

Good question. Every Disney cruise I have taken ship's time matches local time.

Yes. They change the clocks daily as you move thru different time zones.

Not this time and Hawaii is one of two states where they don't observe daylight savings time.

Are you saying that the ship will not be on local time in Hawaii?? I can't imagine they would not.

We too are on the adult and got no call. My online excursions also still show 8am.

Are the lists that Corina posted the most correct of the FE lists? I want to make sure I do not miss anyone in my group

Thanks!:thumbsup2

Thank you for the update.....and for the reminder for bringing the panchos....I'll leave the Mickey ones at home.

How rough is rough? I'll keep reading maybe this was answered.

And Happy DST all...Aloha Kakahiaka.

On the Baltic cruise DCL left Disneyland Paris Ponchos in everyone's room before the first port of call. I have no reason why. If you did any research you would know that rain is common on that itinerary. Oh well, I have a DLP poncho now that gets a lot of looks when I am at WDW.

All of this is in our guest room already :) Bought new suitcases, because old one are falling apart and hardly made it home last year.

FE is done, just need to pack in a box....Secret Mickey is ordered, so i'm waiting on mail man to deliver :)

No...I'm just saying that Hawaii don't observe daylight savings time. So i'm confused what time are all the excursion on....ship time, local HI time...? I was on a cruise where they stayed on ship time all the time no matter local time.

Ship time is whatever time the Captain says it is. Totally and completely up to the Captian. On all 12 DCL cruises we have taken the Captain has had us on local time at each port, regardless of whether that time is daylight savings time or standard time. Excursions will be on local time. They will let us know when to change our clocks though, so no worries. One would need to be aware though that we are not on DST in Hawaii if you plan on calling back home and want to figure out the time difference. I'm thinking I do not want to call home and see what everyone needs from me though. :sad2: Let them figure it out on their own for 3 weeks!! :rolleyes1

Our daughter met her on the Magic just before the Dream started sailing. She took good care of a Geezer's child. :thumbsup2

I remember those. They came in handy in Oslo. After that the horrible heat wave!! At least no rain and we had A/C in our bus in St. Petersburg :thumbsup2 We still talk about our Denrus group. See you soon.

We still talk about that trip as well. Are you coming in before the cruise? We're meeting Beth, Stacy, and Jack for a day in the parks.
