Any one still looking for men's hawaiian shirts? - NOT OUR CRUISE SHIRT. As we are packing I came across a couple of nice shirts - soft colors - I picked up the wrong sizes in my travels, couple large and one medium. I've bring them if anyone is interested. Send me a PM val

Hi Bob and Val! We just found out that you will be docking in Hilo early, around 9:30 so we will be looking for you at the pier! ALOHA, Karen and Ron

Love the Navigator - thanks for all the hard work, it looks fabulous!

Frantically trying to get as far as I in packing as I will be working long hours up to the day we leave. Can someone please remind me, for the late linked dining, what time were asked to show up?

Prayers are still needed and appreciated. Thanks so much for asking.
Sending best wishes!

I just can't thank all of you enough for your kind thoughts and prayers. Bless you all! :grouphug:

We will send some thoughts and prayers your way. I tried to send you a message but the DIS was down that weekend you posted that you were at Rainbow. I literally live 15 minutes away. If there is anything your family needs while they are there please let me know. Well... at least for this week :)

Debbie

What a small world! Thanks for your offer. We were there a little over a week. My DD and DGS stayed at Rainbow. She wasn't allowed to leave him. I was there from early morning till night. I stayed at the Doubletree Tudor Arms. I chose it because they had an awesome free shuttle to Rainbow Babies. We will probably be going back in three months. Rainbow Babies took very good care of Tyler but they also took good care of my DD and myself. Wonder staff! I was enamored with all the gorgeous buildings in that area. I bet there is a lot of history around the University. Oh and we are in love with your Pizza Pan pizzas. Denver's pizza will NEVER be the same, LOL.

One more
 and prayers for you all.

.

Double post--so I guess you get more hugs and prayers from me than just one. Both of them count.

Too funny. Hope I don't look greedy but I will take them.

Friends....it just does not get any easier. My brother and his nurse wife went to Disney World last week. His wife had a conference so he tagged along and they spent 5 days. They came home on Wednesday and on Friday he ended up in the hospital with a blood clot in his leg. This is the second time in 5 years this has happened to him and they suspect it is from flying. Now the problem is they are due to leave on May 4th for a 15 night cruise around Europe leaving from Barcelona. This would mean a 8+ hour flight. They have put him on comiden(sp) a blood thinner and as of now he is in the hospital and the advice from the doctors is to not travel. It just does not get easier my friends. Just needed to vent for him.
Tom

I'm sorry to hear about your brother. Vent all you want for him. Life isn't always fair and it's hard to understand why.

Why just you two. How very strange.

At some point I was asked if I would like text messages to remind me of important events surrounding my cruise. I also got one the day before I could sign up for excursions to remind me to be ready. I just checked on phone and I got the request right after I paid in full

I will make it a point to meet you! That is a very historic part of town. And you were just down the hill from Little Italy. Now there is great pizza there.

When you return again the offer is there for any assistance you may need.

My daughter got grounded when in her late 20's. She kept getting blood clots when flying across country to and from collage and a few years later when we flew from WA to FL to attend a wedding and Disney World she got a really bad one and that is when they told her not to fly.

So now we can only cruise from West coast and do to DL and not WDW. Really sucks because we are southern by heritage and miss going to Louisiana and really miss WDW. She is also on comiden and she clots so seriously we will have to stop every 15-20 min driving over mountain passes on our way out of OR for her to get out and walk a few minutes. Really adds to travel time :worried: but not worth the risk of ignoring it. And she was grounded before 9/11....now with new rules she would definitely be one of those people who gets off the plane and drops dead walking thru terminal.

The bright side for your brother is he has more travel options on the east coast...and cruising is safe for people with clotting disorders.

Thank you Debbie. I read about Little Italy and the Doubletree actually shuttles there as well. The nurses told us that you have a fabulous zoo. It was such an intense visit that we weren't able to tour. Hopefully, next time won't be as bad.

Judy, I'm so sorry about your daughter. I never knew anyone could be "grounded". Bless her heart.

You got it, Sandy. My heart goes out to you and your family.

Sorry to hear about your brother, hope he gets well soon.

Does anyone have any idea what the weather will be like on the sea days? Been to Hawaii, so I think we're ready for that. Been to L.A. Ready for that. Not sure how to look into what it'll be like by the pool. Insight appreciated.
Been wondering the same and found this site that shows ocean temperatures and wave heights.

Just got back home from a great weekend with old friends and new :) Great way to get in the groove of the cruise vacation!

A life lesson to you all.... if you are going to drive 4 hours from home to an event that need dress clothes.... be sure to rememeber to take them with you.;):rolleyes1:rolleyes1

Half way through my drive, it hit me that the garment bag with our dress clothing and other clothes was still at home!! We stopped and I found a wi-fi spot and googled the closest Dress Barn :surfweb: Was able to buy myself a new dress and mom a dressy outfit and 2 new shirts in under 30 minutes.

So I have a new dress for the cruise! Now to get packing!

Debbie

Debbie,

You are so resourceful!

Everytime I look at the photos Harry took on the first PC cruise, I see you and your mom in Palo.

We are bringing one of the original fish extenders you gave us on that cruise (we got two, as Harry and I were in separate cabins).

Looking forward to seeing you again!

Beth and Harry

GOOD Morning, Happy Cruisers!

Sending prayers and pixie dust to all those in need (Including all y'all who didn't ask for it, but I know you need it!)

Today is busy - I don't know how I found time to work!

Hope everyone has a wonderful day and gets done EVERYHTING they need to - safely.

Good Morning - Aloha Kakaheika....

This week we SAIL AWAY.

OK so maybe I could have posted that yesterday as well....But somehow on a MONDAY, it seems all too real!!!!!!!!!!!!! (squeal).

Lots and lots to do as well.

This week is Professional Assistants Week - so thanks to those of you who help out so much.

LindaBabe said it well, prayers to all who need it.......:littleangel:

I have a few minutes to catch up with a :surfweb:coffee before heading out to start another day.

It is truly a beautiful day here, I wish I could package it up.:goodvibes

Safe travels to every one starting to leave for this awesome vacation. We are not leaving until Saturday. We are hoping to make it to the DIS meet at DL on Saturday night, but I'm not sure I'll be able to stay awake, We will propably need to get up at 3am east coast time, fly 6 and a half hours, check in at the Marriott and go to DL...I will be tired! But like my hub says, we're gonna have four days at sea to catch up on sleep.:cloud9:

See you all soon,

Lissa

Indeed -- Safe Travels All......We will be getting up early on the East Coast as well...I had thought we could sleep in until 4:00 but perhaps we should get up earlier........We are passing on DL for that reason.

Sleep on sea days, surely you jest!!

Hello everyone.

Been out on the road for 2 months and now home before the biggest trip of our lives. So much going on here and I don't even know where to begin.

Can't wait to see everyone on board.

If someone could update me on a meet and greet that would be great.

Thank you so very much.

Have to book transfers, buy Disneyland tickets, pack.

Thanks again.

Good luck to you and everyone else getting stuff accomplished....

I am officially done with my to do list for today other than charging the cameras, which I will do overnight. I have just upgraded our room at the airport hotel on Wednesday night to a Club room. That way I will have internet access. I also should be at the hotel by 4:00 PM and then I can just relax in the Club Lounge.

Corinna

WOW....you were busy....:worship::worship: Can you come help me finish??

Only 6 days until I fly out.... EEK! I really should start packing since I know I'm going to be incredibly busy and putting in long hours at work this week. Now let's see... full pirate wench costume or a simple skull dress? Decisions, decisions...

We were debating and this will be the first time since our firsts cruise, no pirate costume...only T-shirts.....

Sandy is your grandson doing better or would prayers still help?

Looks like we will not be alone in port for boarding next weekend. The schedule for port shows the Norwegian Pearl next door at Berth 92.
From what I remember from my previous trips out of the LA cruise port is we all enter the same place. It should be interesting have an additional ship in port with us. The only good thing is that it appears the Pearl is going on a repositioning cruise which means most of the passengers will be being dropped off so hopefully it will not make it too congested. I believe once we enter you stay to the left and it takes you directly to Berth 93 parking where those that are going to Berth 92 stay to the right. Just thought I would share for those few that may be driving themselves.

Now isn't it appropriate the Disney ship has the Pearl....perhaps I should reconsider the pirate costume???

I was checking on my reservation last week and somewhere there was a button to sign up for text or email notifications of important information. I was suprised to get the text today reminding me to bring cruise docs in your carryon. I would have thought that the texts would have been about something more official. Anyway...it was cool.

Lissa

Note to self - look at the website more carefully.....

This is a very good thing to remember: two sailings ago, one woman packed all her documents and passports into her checked luggage, which went to the port at 10am, but the family was taking Disney Cruise Line transportation to the port from the French Quarter resort. They had NO identification....no drivers license, nothing......they couldn't board the motorcoach without some ID......what a scramble to find the truck that had their luggage, have someone go in a car to meet the truck, get the luggage off, reseal the truck, send it on it's way, bring the passports to the family....and it was all done in time to board the motorcoach at 12 noon!

Several times I have had people pack their passports in their checked luggage, but they had SOME proof of Identification! So they could get their luggage at the port. a problem, but not so desperate.
