I'm a first timer too, and I am curious about this as well. In anyone's past experience, will these items not be available for sale at a shop onboard the ship during this sailing?

Also, I thought I remembered seeing a post or 2 or 3 about a time and place for a Disboard meet-up on boarding day, but I can't find it now and search function seems not to work... So, can anyone remind me of the time and place?

Thanks, Debbie

Not having done a DCL cruise before, is it worth pre-ordering things like this?

I was on the inaugural Alaska cruise last year and it was so poorly handled and frustrating trying to get Alaska cruise items that I would "THINK" Disney has it figured out and will be well stocked on board. BUT I am not going to count on it and I am going to get our shirts ahead of time on this site.

I got tired of going to gift shop every night to see if they had unpacked and/or found more merchandise Plus since this is once again an inaugural cruise, merchandise for this is a one time only and they are not going to over order and be stuck with a lot of leftovers.

I just looked at site again and already some of the things I saw on there last weekend are gone..there were a few more shirts and a scrapbook kit that I see are missing already. Hoping they restock here soon. It would be especially nice to be able to get any scrapbook supplies offered now and not have to pack them to get home :)

Be sure you click the port as Los Angeles at the beginning of the gift page...each port has different items

Thanks for being understanding everyone. ^_^

We are coming from South East Virginia. So, it will be a very long flight to California but this will be well worth it!

Yes, I wish we would have become DVC members sooner too. Though we are now and half of this cruise was paid for through points. :cool1:

I would have loved to get married at Castaway Cay, but we didn't take our first cruise until two years ago. Now, I think we're hooked.

SoutheEast Virginia....???
We are in the Williamsburg area...how about you?
DVC since 2009 & yes.....wish we did it sooner

Call me nit-picky, but why would they sell long-sleeved shirts for Hawaii? And the short-sleeved shirts aren't nearly as cute as the DIS shirts. just sayin.

Long sleeves are for all of us living in northern states who wear long sleeves 75% of the year or more :-)

WOW just getting caught up on lots of posts :surfweb: my wife has started packing and we look forward to meeting everyone:grouphug: this will be our first Platinum cruise:woohoo: also DVC members since 1998:banana:

Yea - with the help of DCL we were able to book the Aulani excursion for after our Pearl Harbor excursion. :cool1: We finish up at 2:00 and then will head over. I wonder if instead of coming back to the port after Pearl Harbor we could just arrange for transporation from Pearl Harbor. That would save us some time, but I don't know if that is "allowed/acceptable". :confused3

Bob here. Valerie was feeling guilty about the cost of the shirts until she saw the tee from Disney costs even more than a tailored shirt.

BTW, she's mailing some of the fabric today for those who ordered yardage. Pretty good looking stuff, if you want a totally unbiased and detached opinion;) .

Is there a way to see them larger? I don't seem to be able to see anything but the small thumbnail picture that they have on the link. I would like to see the designs they offer a little better on the shirts.

Also, is there not a way to order that doesn't require a fax or a phone call? Seems to me that as high tech as Disney is, you could just add it to a cart and pay for it? Seems like they way they have the order process set up is very time consuming to the customer... Or is it just me?

Just read where they're doing maintenance on the GC pool. The good news is they should be done before we all get there :thumbsup2.

Made my final payment....I was a lucky one who gets until Feb 14 to pay in full. Booked my excursions and spa. No Palo available but I can check while onboard. Just booked airline ressies. I'm on Southwest from Phili to Orange County via Chicago. I got two RT tickets for $660. WOOHOO!!!! I'm loving that price. NOW I feel like I'm really going on this vacation. Bring it on!!!! Let's go!!!:goodvibes:lmao::rotfl:

Wow! We live in Suffolk.
I must say that I'm jealous, you have some of the best restaurants up there. Not to mention the Williamsburg Winery! My favorite!

It really is a small world after all. . . . I couldn't help myself.
