We just returned from a 4 night stay at the Royal Pacific Resort, it had been several years since we were there last with my daughter. Took our 8 year old grand daughter this time and she had a ball. we were impressed with the hotel previously had stayed at the HRH, which we like but pool is too shallow and the Portofino which is elegant but was just too quite. We upgraded to the club level and I am glad we did, it saved us time and in the long run money. Their evening meal was more than enough for us for dinner so we basically only bought lunch while we were there and the day we left we had packed some of the peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and it turned out a good move because we were so tight on connections we could not stop for lunch and ate those on the plane. I can't say enough about the staff at the club lounge as well as those throughout the hotel.
We loved the pool, couldn't get my grand daughter out of it, used the exercise room which is well equipped, easy walk or boat ride to hotel and parks. The walk is probably quicker just because of security takes longer at the boat when you walked very often we were the only people going through it.

Had a great time at the parks took advantage of early opening would stay through lunch and then back to hotel to swim and relax and went back in the evening after our meal. Express is great . We arrived mid morning on a Sunday parks were pretty busy used express and was able to do a lot. Had reservations at Mythos for lunch back to IOS after dinner and at 6:15 there was only a 15 minute wait for the FBJ so we rode that took the train to universal and rode the gringotts ride there about a 20 minute wait so it was great not long waits and we got to experience the setup for the rides. After that we only did them as single riders never waited more than 5 minutes doing this. We just had our grand daughter between us so one of us was always in front of her and one behind, as it turned out not an issue because she always ended up in the same car with one of us. I would strongly recommend this if you want to save time. Parks were pretty busy mid day mornings and evenings were great, since we had not been in a while there was enough new attractions that we kept busy. It is probably time for Universal to replace a couple of attractions or shows that are getting a bit long in tooth, Terminator comes to mind. All in all a great trip and thanks to those who answered questions I had. One more thing we took some others advice and brought no bags to the park, we did not miss doing that a bit and it made things so much easier.

Glad you had a great time! Did your granddaughter get an interactive wand?

No the lines were always long and she really did not show a lot of interest in it

Thanks for posting! We are staying club level at RPR at the end of the month/beginning of June. So happy to hear the club was worth it! If you don't mind, how deep is the pool at RPR and do they allow flotation devices? My DS (6) has a life jacket that he is already comfortable with and I would love to bring it if it's allowed. Did y'all get a chance to check out the arcade at the resort? DS10 and DD13 are looking forward to that. Thanks!!

I know the RP pool gives out pool noodles if you ask when getting towels. I've never seen anyone in a life jacket, so I'm not sure about that. The poo goes from inches (like a beach) up to about 4-4 1/2 foot in some areas. Most of the pool is around 3 1/2 - 4 foot deep, but there is plenty of space in that gradual beach-like entrance to play in the water 2 foot and under. Also RP has a play area pirate ship connected to the pool. It has waterfalls to run under, water cannons to shoot, etc.

Glad you had nice trip with your granddaughter........the pool at RPR is perfect for us.......we don't usually spend time around a pool, but we do here.

Thanks for sharing.........:)
