We did a back-to-back in June: last day of 1st package was 1st day of 2nd package. It was a 3 day and a 2 day. Park hopped on the overlapping day.

I thought that you did this. Depending on the cost difference, this is what I will do.

So they dropped the FS unlimited for the new unlimited package. Must be selling like hotcakes.

I am actually becoming concerned that vacation packages might not be available for check-in on March 31st. I think I need to shift around all my dates as a backup plan if this is the case. UGH

I guess we'll find out soon! It's no problem for me to switch to the 1st. I think that we will be able to get a package on the 31st, but since DS will be on the 1st, it will be the new package.

I was in double checking package costs/details and it kicked me out. Now the wait is more than an hour. I feel like I'm joining all those brave adventures that have gone before waiting 1-2hours, etc. I suppose it's a rite of passage for booking at TDL.

I am on 4 devices. One I am signed into my account and haven't been kicked out yet. Other devices are a wait of 48 minutes to over an hour

Yeah, I was logged in, but it kicked me out. So I'm a little worried when I log in after getting into the site it'll kick me out again.
I think my plan is to book two one-night packages with overlap, if there's availability once I get in.

After a half hour wait, I was able to book 2 one night unlimited packages. One is at the Disneyland hotel and the other at fantasy springs hotel. When you do the unlimited, you can book 3 fs rides which I did for both packages. You have to pick a time for them
I don’t know how much extra the fs rides are I also don’t know how much I paid for the lunch at the quick service

Took me an hour and a half to get in (with a "52-minute wait" according to the ticket), but I was finally able to book 1-night Unlimited Rides at Fantasy Springs Hotel. It was 303,000 yen ($1,966) for 2 adults, which seems really spendy for one night and two park days, with no meals except for the included breakfast, and DPA for the three FS attractions. Now I just need one night before and one night after, hopefully in the same category room, but I have to wait until December 1 and December 2 (for March 31 and April 2) to do that. I like the idea of being able to use the FS or front DS gates, and corresponding monorail stops. It's a LONG walk from FS to the front of the park!

Just finished booking two separate vacation packages. Luckily I had multiple queues lined up. When I booked April 15-16, the unlimited was sold out. Then unlimited came back, so I booked April 14-15 unlimited. I'm hoping the overlap will be ok. It is the same room type and resort.

Hints for future: The waiting time for restaurant list to load was the longest. The "opt-out" option is at the very top. You have to select the opt-out in order to finalize the booking. The Unlimited was completely sold out, then it was back but with Fantasy Springs sold out. Like other have said, package availability comes and goes.

I will be looking for room only options, but have Hilton Tokyo Bay lined up "just in case." Now I need to make my train plans to leave the Osaka World's Fair on April 13 and stay somewhere closer to Disney. Thanks all for keeping me company overnight for my first TDL/TDS booking!
