I am looking at taking my brother and sister-in-law on their first trip to WDW. They prefer it cool and less crowded. I prefer it warm and tropical. As a compromise I am looking at the month of April next year. Next year Easter is on March 27th. Does anyone know how far into April Easter vacations and Spring Breaks might go? I am looking at the 2nd week and wonder if the crowds will have died down.
The other senario would have us arriving in the second week of December which is fine crowd wise but a bit cool at night for me. Trade off owould be Christmas Decorations and less expensive resort costs.

I have been trying to get this help in many threads but nothing specific yet either. Hope we get some answers from the experienced travelers.

Some of the New England states have their spring break the third week of April. It is based on Patriots Day - the day of the first battle of the revolution, rather than Easter. I know that MA, Maine and CT have their school breaks then. NH has it the following week. We are going this year and it is the week after Easter. Since it will be in the regular season, rather than peak, I think that even Disney expects that the crowds will be less than the week before. :bounce: :bounce: Gettin closer and getting excited.:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

We went in 95 and 2000 and both times we left the Saturday after Easter Sunday and both times it was minimal crowds and great weather. Some days were hot and some were warm. Both years Easter was in April.

I didn't realize Easter is so early next year... I just grabbed the school schedule for next year (Connecticut) and yes the break is April 18-22. Hope this info. helps.

Poohbeck- That was exactly the answer I have been waiting for! We plan to go the Saturday after Easter too, now I feel much better. Never heard of Patriots day instead of spring break. Learn something new every day. Thanks again!

Thank you very much. That is great information. Perhaps the first and second week of April will be a good time to introduce them to Orlando!
