April 19, 2008 - Western - VERY Early Roll Call - Anyone??!!

I was considering walking with you all...but NOT at that unGAWDly (insert long island accent here). That ain't happening here with this vacationeer!
I am up at 5:30 am M-F for work and am usually not up before 9 on the weekends! And don't hate me cause I can sleep..my daughter enjoys sleeping in too...

On our last cruise we never saw a sunrise...that happens way too early and we never saw sunset..we were way too busy. This time around I am considering seeing one of each for the photo opportunities...and of course to say that I did it!

By the way...any scrapbookers out there, besides Hypermommy? Just curious. I am a page or 2 way from finishing our album for March 07 cruise! What a feeling of accomplishment! Just in time too! I have been scrapbooking for almost 7 years!

Just wondering what type of car? I would say to do it. You can always go to a rental place to look at the same car your getting and decide from there. As far as them having another car available, remember, its the start of spring break!
And as far as walking, What time were you thinking?

Michelle, rent the convertible. They do underestimate the space. We rented one a couple of trips ago and almost fit all of our luggage in the trunk (family of 4). We put one suitcase in between the girls in the backseat.

Totally understand where you guys are coming from with it being vacation and all. Just becuase I'm up at 7am (at least one morning I'm going to see sunrise) doesn't mean everyone else has to be. If anyone wants to be up that early, we could meet and walk. But that doesn't mean we can't walk later too or instead.

I don't know how I'm going to do this becuase I plan to be up early (for the quiet time which I cherish) and up late (for the partying which I also love to do). I guess I'll just have to do what Ms. Scarlett didn't want to and get myself a nap in the afternoong. Guess that's why "well brought up young ladies takes naps".

Doctor? All okay? Was it you that had the knee surgery last week (sorry... terrible at keeping things like that straight)? Has everyone been waiting on your hand and foot so you can be ready for the cruise?

Help me through this. So they say six people make it off the Island. We know 1-Kate 2- Hurley 3-Ben 4-Sayid 5-Jack. Who do you think 6 is. First I was thinking Sawyer but now I don't know My daughter was like OMG does the baby make it!!!

I think it will end up being Claire & the baby. Remember Desmond had the premonition of them getting on a helicopter and he told Charlie about it? The whole show has me in a tizzy. I spend too much time thinking about it.
I have sooooo many theories. I cant wait til its over so we know whats going on.

I started watching Lost in Season 1 but then got away from it. From what you guys are saying, it sounds like it got very interesting. I think there was something on abc.com about a synopsis of the show (like an 8 minute thing) but that left me more confused than ever. But I think I'm going to try again. Then I'll watch this season's eps.

Am I going to be totally lost (pun intended)? Anything you guys want to tell me that I must know that might not be clear?

BTW: going into the city to see RENT today with some girlfriends. I saw it when it originally opened and now it is closing so I am going again.
Will let you all know if it is as good as it was 11 years ago.

Apr 20 sunrise in Key West is 7:00 AM
Apr 22 sunrise in Grand Cayman is 6:03 AM
Apr 23 sunrise in Cozumel is 5:59 AM

Wasn't sure what Castaway Cay was close to. When I searched it gave me Grand Cayman again. Is that where I'd get the time for Castaway Cay?

I would really like to meet around 7 on Sunday. I'm going to try to be on deck a bit earlier becuase I think it would be really cool to see the sun rise.

I don't remember where we were meeting. If we're going to do it early, how about Deck 9 so we can get some coffee before we walk? But I will humbly bow to the judgment of you folks that have cruised before.

Haven't had a chance to put together my idea for a group t-shirt (that y'all can print or not if you want to) because I've been swamped. Redesigned portions of my website this morning (well, for the past 5 or 6 hours really). And at work we've been sooooo swamped. And it's just gonna get more interesting becuase I'm going to meet with a local plumbing company tomorrow morning. They want a website so I'm gonna give them a quote for freelancing it. I have absolutely no idea how I'm gonna fit this in, but I have to becuase it's mo' money, mo' money

Yes, coffee is good on deck 9 and then go to deck 4 to walk? My picture on the left is actually at sunrise, but I thought it looked cool taking a picture of the moon still in sight down the side of the ship. As you can tell, not too many people up at that time!

Okay, while the website was publishing I finally got a chance to throw together my idea for a t-shirt that I'm going to make for the cruise. Of course, I'm going to put "Hypermommy" on mine, but the kids will be "Hypermommy DS14" and "Hypermommy DS12" (becuase I don't want their names on their shirts... I'm just funny that way even though they're getting older). And dad will be "Hypermommy DH" ('lessen he goes and gets himself a board name on here and stops being a lurker! ).

I'm going to bring a sharpie and I hope all my new friends (you guys! ) will sign my shirt!
