Does anyone know how to get reservations for Palos Brunch or high tea? We can't seem to get that.

I also understand about wanting to get there early! 2 yrs. ago we had to wait a few hours because of a "suspicious package" in the port and they had the bomb squad there and everything! The kids want to see Universal this time and we got a good deal on the tix- One week pass for both parks, Islands of adventure and universal- unlimited for $86.00 pp.

I think both brunch and high tea are fully booked for our cruise. That being said, they do keep some reservations open for onboard bookings. If you get there early enough, you may get lucky.

We had to wait to board once (several years ago) due to the "suspicious packge" thing, too. I wonder how often that happens?

Hi Joan,
I'm hear finally catching up on all the threads. I wasn't sure if you realized that the 8-year olds are eligible to participate in the Oceaneer Lab where as your 5 year old son would be in the Oceaneer Club. I believe you'll be allowed to register your daughter in either the Club or the Lab, but I'm pretty certain it has to be one or the other. I know they told us this on the Med. Cruise this past summer. I just wanted to give you a heads up so you can check in to it and be sure of her options. I hope this helps!

Y'all let me know what you're going to be doing in terms of excursions and such so I can get it on the hyperlist. That way, if folks know they're going on something together they can get to know each other before they go.

Joan: I really haven't taken any pics of my new shorter do yet. I'll get to that. I spent much of Sat night and much of Sunday morning fighting with my website. Just couldn't figure out why a graphic wasn't showing up. But I finally got it working.

Hey, question for you all... have y'all seen the Disgroup pictures taken on either the Magic or the Wonder? Basically, it seems that previous DISsers have had their picture taken as a group outside the statue in front of Lumiere's. I was thinking (ruh roh, I know... can y'all see the steam from Florida?).... if there was interest in this, we could get one done. I don't know how much a single picture costs, but if we each chip in a few bucks, that should cover it. Then we'd have to scan it and send it to everyone. I could do that if you like -- I mean, if that's legal. Does one have the rights to Shutters pictures?

So what do ya think.... any interest in getting a Showers of Happiness Group Picture done?

Yes, you do have the rights to a Shutters picture once you buy it. There's a website from which you can download a release so that you can have the photos copied (or copy them yourself). I'll find that site and get my daughter to show me how to post it. ( sad, isn't it??? )

You put in your cruise date and name of your ship. I did it after our last Disney cruise and the lady at Wal-Mart (where I went to get them copied) told me that they have to keep it on file to protect themselves . If you want to order more prints from the same photos you don't have to give them another release.

The release is good for most cruiselines from what I could tell. By the way, I learned about this from the DISboards (of course!)

On our last cruise, I booked a 1/2 a hour massage onboard on the Sunday afternoon for a later time that week..it may have been the next day...I forget. There were no full-body time slots left at that time. Don't be discouraged. DCL has to save some slots for the non-computer passengers so there should be a little of something left once you get onboard. BUT..I would do it as soon as you get on the ship, no passing go, no Topsiders, no nothing..straight to where ever it is you go to make reservations.

That said, the 1/2 hour massage was great....of course an hour would be divine...Good luck. I booked a couple's massage for me and DH. He has never had one. He doesn't know what he is missing!

Re: Group Shot I am in for a group shot. I think it would be fun. Doesn't even have to be from Shutters if we don't want it to be. There are enough CM's walking around that if we were organized enough in the lobby we could blindside one into taking our picture! Whatever the group decides is fine with us! Now it is one more thing to coordinate....day, time...any volunteers?

Hypermommy: Could you add Fishlips to your Hyperlist.. .pretty please. ..that way it will be all in one place... Not that I am being bossy, but if you could do screen name and head count that would be FABULOUS!

Hi all,

Michelle: Added Fishlips count to the hyperlist, but Joan's still going to be the keeper of the official Fishlips answers (since it was already on her spreadsheet I didn't want to step on her toes [I still weigh enough that it would hurt the poor girl]). I used 12+ age as counting as adult for this list (like restaurants do, not like Disney does where 10+ is adult). Based on the spreadsheet I have 20 adults and 7 kids. Screen names included as yes (4newtocruise, Tinkified, anty30, Conny264, dis2cruise, Hypermommy, TECHJPM, TECHJPM's other cabin [can't remember name of family])

Everyone, please make srue you have said yes or no to the Fishlips thing so Michelle can get the reservation in.

Joan: I don't know if you've had time to update the spreadsheet but in case you missed the message, please make us a Yes for Fishlips meeting. I've included us in the number I gave to Michelle above.

Picture: I like the idea of it being taken with someone's camera instead of Shutters. Anything to save a buck or two. And besides, this means we can have more than one. Let's get together for one on pirate night and one on formal night. You guys that have cruised before... what's a good time for everyone to show up?

Suggestion: DH Jim came up with a suggestion that everyone make a shirt using the SoH graphic. It should be pretty easy since it's rectangular and you don't have to cut anything. I thought it was a great idea and would be a great way for us to find each other, especially if someone happens to miss the DISMeet. We could also all wear them to the Sail Away party. I'm sure a loud (me), rowdy (me), happy (everyone) group of people all dressed in the same shirt would catch Disney's attention and maybe our kids would get on Arial view (which would trip out mine for sure). What do you think? The graphic as I've sent it can be printed on an 8 1/2 x 11 page. Everyone go to Walmart and grab some t-shirt transfer paper and put the graphic on a shirt. Let's go with white t-shirts (easier for the graphic and white t-shirts are cheaper). If you need a smaller size (i.e., to put on a child's shirt) just let me know the dimensions you want for the graphic and I'll gladly send you one of that size. Okay, so who's in? Who's going to iron out a SoH shirt?

ANOTHER REMINDER TO ALL: If you're participating in the Fish Extender exchange and haven't told Joan (or are just not sure your info is right) please make sure you tell her very, very soon so the spreadsheet can be accurate. I know I'm getting my stuff from Oriental Trading so I'll be ordering it soon and I want to make sure I have enough stuff to give out to everyone. I just checked the spreadsheet and there are still a lot of blanks in that column so everyone please, please, please say yes or no.

Thanks to all for the warm fuzzies about my hair. I'm getting used to it and LOVE the fact that Ii can wash my hair in pratically no time now. And since I don't blowdry it or anything, I'm ready to go

Thanks for the info. I will she would be able to go back and forth. Depending on whether or not she is getting with her brother that day will determine which one she will go to. I haven't talked to her about it yet.
