Hi we are back too we came home late since we had an 8:15pm flight out of tampa so we went to the magic kingdom for about 7 hrs yesterday it was fun

But we had a great time met some really nice people

overall we did enjoy our cruise except for the flood in our stateroom hey you all didn't know we were the only stateroom that had a waterbed and of course it took them 4 days to totally fix the problem and still the day we left the smell was still there yuck this took the "MAGIC" out of our cruise

Hey anty30 it was really nice to meet you and your family and yes, as I type I am rocking and rolling too I get this everytime I cruise this usually lasts me for about 2 days oh well, still feels like I am on the cruise

so that's why our toilet didn't work for a few tries that morning!
I thought we had reached a quota

so sorry it was due to your stateroom flooding! Was it the same one that someone posted about flooding a few weeks ago? yikes.! and it was a full ship too - no way to relocate you I'm guessing? That's sucktastic. (I would say "craptacular", but i thought it would be in bad taste)

Home here too and missing all the perks of being on the magic as well! One positive thing about being home...everything bloomed while we were gone so it was a nice taste of spring for us when we arrived home!

Sorry to Dis2Cruise Family for your experience...we heard about it happening..didn't know it was one of us! Since they couldn't move you...did they compensate in another way?

Thoroughly enjoyed meeting everyone that we did. Had a blast and can't wait to do it again...I am thinking 4 day wonder last week of August or second week of October...anyone interested? Now that we are DVC members we gotta spend our points! Anyone else join DVC besides Joan and me?

Sadly we are home and been doing laundry all day-miss the Magic. Regret not meeting everyone at the meet. We got on board late, stopped by but the Yankee swap was going on. Happy to meet those I did.
Funny coincidence, but our dinner table was between the two Denises on most nights(met the NJ Denise Thurs night when they were singing Happy Birthday to her daughter and I put it all together). Room was diaganol from Colleen.

Denise(Hypermommy) hope you had a good birthday, you looked great.

Really enjoyed the cruise, but not much relaxation, I feel like I need another one to relax. Wishing I was being served dinner by Addy and Jeamie instead of having to think about cooking

Thanks for all the trip planning help and maybe some of us will be on a future cruise together.

We had a great time too! All my worrying about seasickness was for nothing. We realy liked seeing everyone and having people to talk to or just say hi to as we passed in the halls. This made us feel more comfortable and familiar with the ship, so thank you all for being so friendly. I also want tto say thanx for the fe gifts. They were all great! We had water in our bathrooms on Friday as did most of our end of the hallway on 2 aft. Our water was clear, but you could smell something bad coming from one of the other rooms. I never did get a clear answer as to why the water was backing up through the floor drain, but it was on the last night, so I didnt push the issue.

hey! that was an awesome cruise!!!! i loved every minute of it!! (i am terrified of boats and even the ocean so this is an ups for me) i hope that we go again. my dad wants to but my mom doesnt want to talk about another vacation untill probably summer time. yikes. this was a great expierence (probably spelled wrong?) and this morning at breakfast i said to my dad. hey where's vally i need a refill! well back to reality. it sucks.! well good night. hey heres a thought maybe we could keep this thread goin even though the cruise is over. just a thought.

Had a wonderful birthday. Thanks to all of you who made it so special for me.

Wish I'd thought to call him Addy....Jeamie I could remember her name but it wasn't until the last day that I could remember Aditya. Addy would have been sooo much easier.

We got home around 4pm on Saturday. Lost about 15 minutes due to traffic backed up from a terrible wreck of at least one semi. The kids thought they saw two back ends but it's hard to tell since most everything was burnt. Got home and went straight to bed and slept 20 hours. Got up and did most of the unpacking (still have one suitcase full of stuff I don't know where I'm gonna put it all) and then watched a movie (Crybaby which I'd never seen) and then went back to bed and slept another 13 hours. Wow!

Yes, I'm still swaying. This is a wierd feeling!

Oh, did anyone get up at 7 and walk? I felt bad for leaving all the bahama mamas hanging but when I was up that early it was just too nice to sit there with a cup of coffee and work on my trip notes.

Rebooking? I tried but KC isn't ready yet. We'll sail again... that much we know. But we're going to watch for some last minute specials for Floridians. I think I'd love to do the Panama crossing as I loved sea days the best. But then we'd have to pay to fly back and that would be expensive, especially flying into Tallahassee. Decisions, decisions.... but we gotta get back.

Sorry to hear about your flood dis2cruise. Hope they did compensate you somehow. Great picture rantnnravin! Thanks for sharing so quickly. I haven't even started reviewing my pictures. I know I had 760 or so the last time I offloaded pics but then I took some more that last morning. Bet I'm at 800. We'll see.

We're finally back, too. Drove up to Jacksonville on Saturday morning to visit with relatives there. Got to meet out neice's 15 month old baby for the first time (Gosh- that means he's our "grand nephew...are we that old???) which was a tearful meeting - he's so beautifl and it was so wonderful to be able to finally hold him. Spent the day with them and then drove back to Orlando to stay at the Hampton Inn at the airport. We were scheduled to fly out at noon but took a "bump" (4 non-restricted tickets anywhere they fly, good for one year) so we didn't get home until late last night. Oh well - 4 airfares for the next journey wherever that may be, so the long traveling day was worth it.

What a great week - it was so fun to "know" so many people on the boat. While I was at check-in on Saturday my older daughter Meg came over and said "Mom - I think I've found "HyperMommy!" And so it began - we were lucky to have had such a strong thread going all those months! I look forward to reading everyone's trip reports now. I'm swaying a lot today - hopefully it won't last long, but I really don't mind becuase it means I've been on a cruise!

Hi all! I swayed only on Saturday afternoon and found it a little disturbing..had never swayed before with other cruises and last week was definately smooth sailing! For those of you who are interested..what they say is true..The eastern is much more rough terrain!

Did anyone else get items signed at Guest services? We had two items and only got 6 signatures on each (same on each item)! On our last trip we got over 30! Was wondering if they were cutting back or if perhaps my CM checked off something on our sheet that said we were only interested in the 'main" characters. Just Curious!

Also...if anyone is interested in sharing...I forgot to get somethings off my to get list while onshore. Looking for money from cozumel and GC to add to my scrapbooks. TIA.

Still working on the laundry here. Mostly washed and dried now, but NOT put away! That part is my least favorite!

Anyone besides Gina and Chicken Wing, I mean Jeff...(don't ask about that name..it is Emily's concoction and I have no idea where she got it from..but it stuck...sorry Jeff) and Antoniette and Ed rebook?

We also booked on board for Nov 7, 2009 but will definitely be extending the date into 2010. Hoping to get another full week off from school and a better itinerary than 2009.

Finally finished my laundry today too. It was never ending The weather has been really crappy here in Long Island. Cold and rainy for the last two days. Depressing. We wish we were still onboard. Never did try a BBC. I couldn't remember the name until Friday.

we booked for 8/09 but DH was also interested in 2010. He wanted to do the Eastern, but if it's rougher, now I'm not so sure. I kind of liked the smooth ride.
I'm scared of all of you who have actually done the laundry. . Our suitcases are still packed and will be until next weekend. I too slept all day yesterday, last night slept on/off cause I was afraid I might not wake up for work, but then crashed for a few hours after school today. And why am I so achy?

Hi all! We made it back to Cali. I did not like the swaying when we got home or when we were on the boat... I mean ship!

We did not book again (partly because of the swaying).. but we did enjoy most of the trip. I wish the pools were bigger and everyday we could go to Castaway Cay.

Karen...MassDisLovers- it was nice to meet you and your friends. Please tell Jennifer and Kristine (or is it Kristie) we say hello.

Antoinette- we will look you up when we venture out to NJ to see our table mates...maybe a play in the city??

Michelle-I left 3 tshirts and 2 picture mattes for signatures and they only have the major characters sigs-Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Donald, Daisy, Chip and Dale plus Cinderella, Snow White, Belle, and Alice. I was hoping for more esp Capt Jack for my son, but it is still a nice souvenir. I did one for our friends as a surprise and the husband got a tear in his eye, so it was well worth it.

Anyone also feeling sick or achy like Rantnnravin? I was fine Sunday but slept all day Monday, muscles achy and trembling, weak and some GI symptoms, today not much better, my DH is very tired too? We have never felt like this after vacation. The only thing different is that we used the patch, which worked great.

Sorry for the flooding in the staterooms.

Did anybody have problems with the washing machines on deck 6? Several of our clothes had bleach stains or tears in them. Kylie in Guest Services did respond quickly and I did get a credit on our account. My husband saw maintenance taking apart the washing machines Sat morning before we left.
