April 18th, 2009! - PATRIOT'S OF THE CARIBBEAN - Western Magic!

Okay - my friend warned me I'd get addicted to this site, and she was right!

Here's my "cast" - DW (me) 43, DH 40, DD 11 (turning 11 this Thursday, but going on 18) and my DS is turning 9 two days before we sail, so we're celebrating his birthday on the first night.

We're late seating for the cruise because the rest of my brood are late risers, so we just push everything back a couple of hours when we're vacationing.

I'll go see if I'm registered on the other board now - just signed up yesterday.

:woohoo:

Oh guess I should say who we are!!:goodvibes DH 28 and myself 28 are taking this trip. This is our first Disney Cruise but third cruising experience. we've done both the eastern and western with RCCL!! Okay gone to check out this other board!!:upsidedow

My husband and 2 sons will be taking our very first Disney Cruise 4/18/09 to the Western Caribbean and we are so excited. We will be celebrating our son's 10th birthday (4/19) and our Wedding Anniversary (4/20) that week. My baby will be 10 months old when we cruise! Any advice for first time cruisers is appreciated, especially if anyone has cruised w/baby before!! Also, looking for best shore excursions, if anyone has any advice on that. :cool1:

Welcome! I'm so glad to see someone else with a little one. My DS is 2. We will also be celebrating our anniversary on 4/24. :)

OH WOW!!!! Sure, you all check in AFTER I update evrything! :goodvibes

HEY - LOOK EVERYONE!!!! Its my 6,000th post!!!! OMG!!!! ... uh, yeah, omg! Have to get a life........ Too many trips have been planned over the last 6 years!!!!!

Congrats on the 6,000 post !!!!  :cheer2:

it's so nice to see all the new cruisers - I was beginning to think that the ship was going to be empty :rotfl2:

I've so busy at work that I haven't had time to check either board but will try and check the other board today.

I'm still hoping that there will be "others" from CA!

The BIG DAY is getting closer!

Welcome to all the new cruisers!!!

Tim and I have broken down and decided to bring the girls with us...We felt really bad leaving them behind for our wedding...So we now officially have myself(31), Tim(34), Krystina(12), Haylee(10) and Lauren(5) cruising with us, along with that we will have Tim's Dad, my Dad, and Aunt! So a total of 8 of us! We are excited that the girls will be with us!

Tina!!!!

You have a 5 yr old dd???? I was so worried Gabby was going to be alone on this cruise. She is also 5 yrs old.

We had put in our preference for main dining when we booked, but it was full. All of a sudden today we are showing as main dining, so some people must have dropped off or switched to late dining. I am happy because with a 5 yr old I REALLY wanted the earlier dining.

Yes we have a 5 year old!!! She turned 5 in December...She loves the kids clubs, she cries when we pick her up for dinner or an activity! We do have late dining, Lauren usually does fine with the later time, but there are some days that it doesnt work for her.

Congrats on the early dining!

My daughter will be with them too as she is 4! :goodvibes

Tina - great decision! Glad you were able to make it. Past cruises have been too close to capacity with kids by this point to add children onto a reservation! This is working very well in everyone's favor.

FYI - I was able to dummy ressie look at early dining and my old stateroom with no problems this afternoon. There were a LOT of Cat 6s available.

 :cutie:

OK - I am getting pretty excited!

Time for a new photo of the day:

GREAT PICTURE!!!! I REALLY want to leave today! :dance3:

I think I'll try and see if I can try and get a different cabin if there are lots of Cat 6's left - ours is okay but I would like to have had the same cabin as before :worship:

I am in Florida now - non Disney trip yes, it is tough! The weather has been great feel bad for all those back in New England. Can you guys have it warm up for me when I head home Sunday? I keep thinking next time I am in Florida will be for the cruise.....can't wait

Hi everyone. OFD here. (Originally from Dorchester) (MA)

We are really starting to get excited about our second Disney Cruise. It is getting closer every day.

I see that there are a lot of Mass. families going on this cruise. That is so cool!

We are a family of 4.

Hubby and myself are in our mid 40's (My 23 yr old son is in ND in the Air Force and can't come with us this time) and a 7 yr old daughter, soon to be 8 (Who has begged to go back on the ship for her birthday in 2009 - since we stepped off Feb 2008 Disney Cruise).

Any OFD's out there???

;)
Welcome! I'm so glad to see someone else with a little one. My DS is 2. We will also be celebrating our anniversary on 4/24. :)

Congratulations on your Anniversary! Have you scheduled any Nursery time for your little one yet? We are a little apprehensive about leaving our 10 month old, but everything I have read and heard is that the counselors are great and take good care of the kids.:goodvibes

They are phenomenal!!!!!

welcome seawallmom!!!! If you're OFD - where ya from now????

I do a lot of work in Dorchesta, but not from there!

OK - gotta run! Sorry I haven't been able to update front page yet with all you new guys! :guilty: (I have a little Twilight issue that is taking a LOT of my time - I will be done with the 4th book in about 48 hours, so never fear, I will return to the land of the living soon!)

I still live in MA in East Bridgewater.

I grew up on Mount Ida Rd (directly across from Ronan Park). My husband is a "Dot Rat" also. He grew up numerous places. Mostly in the St. Marks/Fileds Corner area.

BTW ... I just finished reading the Twilight series. All I can say is OMG. I loved it. It only took me 3 days (of course hardly any sleep) I Haven't seen the movie but, It comes out next month and I will definitely buy it.
