Is anyone else sailing on the Dream to Bahamas on 4/17/14? I'm beyond excited to be planning our first cruise. I've really enjoyed reading all the tips, and am glad I have plenty of time to figure out the do's and don'ts. I hope there are some other DISers sailing with us:goodvibes

We've got four kids (Ds15, Dd, 12, Ds, 9 and Ds7) who would love to find some kids their ages to hang out with!

We are on that cruise...we are first timers. Our daughter will be almost 5 years old. Any help is welcomed!

Chrissy,

I would love to get on a fish extender list!! I just replied to see if we can put this on the big meet and greet list. I'm new to all of this, too, so I hope we can get some more people and figure out how to get things rolling:). Just about 92 days!!!

We are sailing with my husband, my mom and dad and our son who is 5, daughter 5, and son 8. I'm not sure if there is a FE started, but we'd like to participate.

Has anyone here done a FE exchange (or whatever it's called) before? We need someone with experience to send us in the right direction!!

I'm so bummed. I thought we could book our excursions at 90 days, but found out we had to wait until 75 days. I'm glad I have something to look forward to to get us through winter:cool1:

We will be on the 4/17/14 Dream. Would love to do the Fish extender too. I'm sure we just need to create
a master list of Stateroom numbers, family names, number of participants and their ages. We would have to set a cut off date as well.
Never organized one before, but maybe I can put something together. I need to understand how to post a link to our tread first :)

Welcome aboard, Suzanne! Thanks for taking this on:).

I'm hoping we'll get a few more people once our link gets added to the master list! I wonder if a cut-off date a month before is good??

The thought of our cruise is helping me survive this awful winter!! I am so tired of snow!

Sure thing. Once we get a master link I think we will be set.
Since I am new to this as well, any input or suggestions will be welcomed.
I agree with the one month from sail date to cut off from joining the FE list.

Our family will be traveling with both sets of Grandparents.
Mike, Suzanne, Sarah (11), Ryan (10) and Grace (2). This
is our 3rd Disney cruise, first for our 2 year old. So excited.
We are expecting another snow storm this weekend so I am so ready for
April to be here!
Happy Planning!

I guess we can start a short list for the FE based on who is here in this forum.
1. I will need Cabin numbers
2. Name and age of each participating family member.
3. Cut off date will be March 16th. One month before our cruise.

If anyone has any ideas please message me. I will check the DIS boards once a week until we leave for FL in April!!! :cheer2:

I have added your thread to the cruise meet list :beach:
Have a great cruise!

My husband, son (6) and I will be on the Dream from 4/17 - 4/20. I found this site when looking for information on whether there will be Easter activities on board or not. I know we disembark at 7am on Easter, but thought there still might be something in the days before?

Also curious what a Fish Extender is?

My girlfriend gave me a few tips:
- first night is Pirate night where the kiddos dress up and there is a Pirate party.
- People decorate their doors. New rule is that you can only use magnets. Google "Disney Cruise Door" and you will find lots of fun ideas.
- Atlantis excursion called "Aquaventure" allows full access to Atlantis water park. I didn't know that was even going to be an option.

I will post other things as I remember them, but this is our first Disney cruise so I would love any other tips that you guys have.

Thanks!
Renee

I am unable to send PMs since I am new and have only posted once, so here is my info for the FE list:
Hello-
We would like to participate in the FE program for the Disney Dream cruise departing on 4/17. This is our first cruise so I'm not sure how the FE program works. Do adults participate or just kids? If adults do, my husband and I will participate as one. I'm ordering FE pockets and will have our names together and our son's separate. Here is our info:

Brad and Renee Anderson - Adults
Connor - age 6
Cabin 7042

Do we get to know who else is participating and ages? I am so excited to buy gifts!

Thanks,
Renee

Renee,

Hi only have done one FE in past but I will make a master list of all who want to join. I will post the document when complete. It will include cabin number with family name, each participating member and their age and (gender), just so it is easier to buy the gifts. Yes, Adults can join too. Just indicate how many :) I'll probably just combined my husband and I as one so less gifts are needed.
See you in a few months!!!
-Suzanne
