April 12th release official?

Is it official that Disney will be releasing free dining to the general public on April 12th? If it's not official, how best to find out....should I just get up early that morning & start calling their offices?

And another question for those in the know....hypothetically, if free dining is released to the general public & runs until Sept 22.....if I book my family trip from Sept 22 -- Oct 3, do I still qualify for free dining for ten days?

No, not official yet.

If your check-in is September 22, you do indeed get free dining for the entire duration of your reservation.
