Is there anyone going April 30 - May 4?
I'm thinking of a last minute trip, how are the crowds during this season?
Will I have trouble getting PS?

I'm going Apr 30- May 7, and am a little worried about crowds too, but I haven't had trouble with PS's I called yesterday for Chef Mickey's and had no problem (of course I wanted 7AM, so usually that's not a problem anyway!). :earsboy:

We'll be there the 29th through the 7th. We really won't know 'til we get there how crowded it will be. But as the previous poster stated, we had no problems getting all our PSs including the Hoop Dee Doo Revue for May 5th at 7:15, and we just booked that last week.

We'll be there 4/30 - 5/7. I think it will be more crowded than usual, but we'll still have a great time! :flower:

Thanks! We've only been twice, both times in February, the longest wait times were 10 minutes, so I'm a bit leary to book this quick trip.

The 50th Anniversary press event begins on May 3, so there will be a lot of activity on May 1-2 as the parks get ready. Press arrivals will take place then as well, so that will impact the crowds.

We'll be there April 28th - May 8th!!!

I am on :cloud9: and :Pinkbounc out of my skin!!!

We will be there April 23-May 6. Crowds during this time last year were fine.

There wasn't a big worldwide press event this time last year, so do keep in mind that you'll probably run into more people than you expect. Mostly May 3-6.

What kind of Worldwide press events? The only thing I've seen is that EPCOT is closing early May 5th for some sort of "Press Event." Have you heard that there will be more events in the other parks?

We were there during Walt's 100th b-day celebration with the press events, the governor, Roy E Disney AND Regis and Kelly during the filming of the Christmas parade. We found the crowds to be just fine and we attended the main event at MGM w/the press & the gov, etc.- it wasn't bad at all.

Quick trips are sometimes the best - go & enjoy yourself. Another bonus is the flower festival at Epcot which you don't have in Feb. :cool1:

We will! We will! April 30-May 7! Only 15 more days!
We didn't have any trouble getting PS's, but we made them a few months ago. Hopefully the crowds won't be too bad, and if they are, at least we are in Disney World! Have fun!

Count us in, Apr 30 - May 7. And I don't care how big the crowds are. It's just me and the misses celebrating 20 years of wedded bliss. If we don't ride a single thing it's ok with me. WDW without the kids for a week staying in a BW view villa. What else could you ask for?

DH and I will also be at BWV with another couple. Only 15 days to go! We don't care if it is crowded we will be at DISNEY!!!! :cheer2:

Yeah!!! Count us in!! April 29 - May 6 (we decided to go a day early  )

Can't wait to see all of your smiling faces!!!!!!!!!! :earboy2:

April 29th to May 3rd at PORS and then May 3rd to 6th at Vero Beach. We are hoping to avoid any crowds by going to Vero Beach then, but I don't think it will be too bad. (no worse then Early March for College Spring Break.)

Schools are still in and that helps keep the crowds lower.

Maybe we will see you there ryan840. (and everyone else!) THere is ALOT of Disers' going then.

Can't wait, 2 weeks from today! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

We will be at Epcot in the am and MGM in the pm on May 2nd, and at MK on May 4th. We'll just be checking the rest of the world out the other days!

We will be there April 29 to May 14th. We are yearly May visitors (12th in a row). We are expecting bigger than usual crowds....grand opennings, press events, lots of contest winners, and the normal locals visiting for flower and garden and locals visiting before their seasonal APs start with their black out times, a few school groups--Music Days; probably a convention or 2; and some activities at WWOS, as usual. Even with the larger than normal crowds, I have not had any problems making my PSs. I was just on the phone this week still adding and changing. So far I've not had any problems getting anything I wanted. We will be at POP for 16 days....can't wait for some fun in the sun, flower power concerts, margaritas from Mexico and catching up with all of our friends. At least Regis and Kelly do not arrive until May10 & 11 (of course we'll still be there), but they will be filming at MK during their visit.
