Apr 19, 2015 Western Caribbean (Jamaica)

No welcome packet yet, though I have gotten the welcome email from DCL. When I logged in to see my reservation I did find something VERY curious, though ...

I'm sure it's a mistake, but it has me VERY excited. As long as we don't miss out on Falmouth for it, I'm OK with a double-dip at Castaway Cay. If it's true, that is. (Edit: Of course, Disneyholic mentioned this and I completely missed it. So there's that.)

We've switched our deposit yet again, since we got a new Disney Visa, and we want the extra OBC. Every little bit helps. :)

:rotfl2: You're killing me!!! We LOVE (or I should say "I LOVE") our Disney Visa!! Last trip to WDW in September had about $200 of 'extra' spending $ that I forgot to spend!! So I used it Xmas shopping!

We got a little "mini" booklet in the mail that had cruise dates, stateroom, etc... and said when we can start booking spa treatments, adult dinner and port adventures (90 day mark = we are still silver CC members until this cruise then we bump to gold).

That is strange. Ours comes up as two stops at CC too. When you click on the itinerary though it only has 2 days listed. :confused3 I am sure it is just a mistake. Although, I don't mind two stops either! (As long as we get to Jamaica which is why we booked this particular cruse). We also were trying to decide between the Eastern and Western that left a day apart but I really LOVE the Magic and I can't wait to see what has changed since our last trip on her. So between that and the Jamaica port, our minds were made up. So hopefully they do not change that part of the itinerary.

I'm wondering if the "down" at sea day turns into a CC Day. I can't imagine they would swap out one of the ports.

Yeah, if one of the sea days (particularly the first one) becomes a second CC stop, we'd be thrilled. We really don't want to miss any of the ports (we booked this itinerary specifically for the ports), but we'd give up Cozumel if we could get a second CC stop. But Jamaica would fall on my wife's birthday, and she already has her heart set on horseback riding in the ocean. :)

I thought I got our welcome packet in the mail today, but it turned out to be the planning DVD I ordered quite some time ago. Oh well, it looks like it might have been updated for 2014, so maybe there's new stuff on there.

We booked this cruise when we were sailing on the Nov. 9th Fantasy Sailing.
It's just going to be me (Sharon) & DH (Allen) We've now sailed on all the Disney ships. I've sailed twice on the Dream, Fantasy & Magic & 4X on the Wonder. It's been a long time since we stepped off the Magic back in Sept. 2008. Exciting that it's been updated & the Falmouth port looks very interesting.:santa: Merry Christmas! pixiedust:

Welcome Sharon!!

I just updated the initial post on this thread to include all current cruisers. If you want me to update the info as posted, please message me. I'm horrible about going back and "finding" info throughout a thread and as time goes on and I get busy, I get behind. Messages I don't loose track of! :rotfl: Both of my kids are competition dancers (think Dance Moms) and our busy season is about to hit so lord knows how far behind I could get!

As we get closer, and bigger, I'm sure we'll find a bunch of people interested in FE Exchanges as well so we'll need to manage that list as well. I always loved it on the smaller ships but after running around the dream with over 60 people participating, I swore never again :rotfl2: - I was EXHAUSTED and probably would have had a less strenuous workout in the fitness center! :lmao: But the kids DO enjoy it so we shall see.....

I hope everyone had a wonderful winter holiday and is looking forward to the new year. I certainly am because it's one year closer to our cruise!! :cheer2: It also means I have to get on the stick and restart my diet and exercise so I can be seen publicly in a bathing suit! :rolleyes1

Got our little planning packet in the mail. Got all excited, but it says it's our first cruise, for some reason. Weird.

Ours had me listed as Silver CC & DH listed as Gold CC. We are both Gold. Went to CC site & it is right.

I was just thinking a year and 3 months is not THAT far away! Gives me about a year to figure out what I want to do for excursions at each port. These are all places we have never been so we definitely want to see / do something... it's a matter of figuring out 'what' to do (especially with a 9 and 11 year old...). Then I have to decide do I want to do a shorter excursion and just leave the on the ship (taking them off ship in some countries is not necessarily what I want to do - as safety is also a concern...) Those of you who have been to the ports we are visiting, I defer to your expertise!!

You're right, it's not that far away and we just got 1 calendar year closer to it. ;)

Hi all!

I am not booked on your cruise, but will be on the Magic two weeks prior to you, on the same itinerary. I also had the "2 stops at CC" show on our reservation. I just sent a note to our TA to see if she had any thoughts on whether it is likely just an error or if there is a possibility they may change the itinerary.

In the meantime I'm going to start a thread to see if anyone has ever been in our boat, so to speak! :-)

Wrighter thanks and definitely let us know what you find out! You'll have to come back here and give us a full trip report since you'll be doing our itinerary 2 wks before we do! We'll need to hear all about the good, the bad, and the ugly! :rotfl:

Hi everyone,
We will be sailing with you! Just booked this trip onboard the Disney Magic this past weekend. We were on the 3 day cruise, and it was just too short! I was outing at breakfast because I didn't want to go home! Can't wait to go to Jamaica, Cozumel and Grand Cayman. I am already tagging excursions. In the meantime I am doing a 7 day Alaska cruise this June. So I am busy planning!!
I will be sailing with my DH. Our girls are all grown and off mama's payroll so they will not be joining us this time. Looking forward to hearing everyone's plans.

All booked!!!
DH, ME, DD 8, DD 3 ( ages at time of sailing)
Sister and bro-in-law maybe joining us..

DH says this will be my reward for potty training our now 2 year old..
Not sure how I got roped into that  , but hey we are going on a Disney cruise! :yay:

Tinker Away! We are cruising on DVC membership points so we don't have any options to tinker! It is what it is. I tinkered on year and for each change to the reservation it cost me $ (but that tinkering was due to people were coming, then not coming, then other's were added in their place..... I had to keep switching room categories around to accommodate and since it was all on my membership and I had to shift points here and there I got whacked with a fee each time. This time we said WE are going on OUR points- anyone else that wants to go- book it yourself through what ever method you choose and pay for it yourself! :thumbsup2 Just think- December is mere days away, that means 2014 is right around the corner, and our 2015 countdown will begin 12 short months after that!) :cheer2:

We have been looking into the .dvc.. And are almost at the point of buying in! :yay:
Can you tell me what the point cost was for this cruise?
Thanks
