So Hello fellow cruisers! My name is Denise, and with me will be John (DH) and our 2 children (DS - 10) and DD (9).
This is DCL #5 for us- we were on the inauguration cruise for the Magic, sailed the Wonder x2, and the Dream x1. LOVED the itinerary for the Magic vs. the Fantasy for our April vacation for 2015 so we'll "se ya' real soon!!'

I'm going to TRY MY BEST to keep track of all who join this thread. If you want to be added to the cruise list, please PM ME with your user name, and any info you want posted on the roster below (including updates to what I have posted). Please do NOT assume that I will find you somewhere in this thread and just add you! I don't get on the boards as much as I used to, so it does take me a while to update the list. I appologize in advance but as we get closer, I'm trying to be more diligent (it shall be my 2015 resolution)

I'm FIRST and starting this thread so for officially being BOOKED! Hubby did good while I was at work and Mickey and Minnie called the kids at 5pm and shared the news! We are officially going to be sailing on the Magic on April 19th 2015!!

Hello!!! We will be sailing with you! We are so excited to be officially booked. It is only our second cruise ever but we were on the Magic last time too. I am super excited to see the new changes. It will be me, my husband, Chris, and our 4 kids who by then will be 13, turning 12 on the ship (when in Castaway Cay!!!), 7 and 7!!

Booked on Wednesday, Deposit put down on Saturday! Man, this is going to be a long (but exciting) wait!

This will be our second Disney cruise. Our first was part of our Disneymoon, we did a four-night on the Dream. Our only complaint about the cruise was that it simply wasn't long enough, so seven nights should be wonderful.

We'll be coming in from the west coast (Seattle), so we'll need to try to find a decent deal on airfare once we get closer.

No kids for us. We're too busy being kids ourselves.

Welcome!!! So glad you found your way over here!! We used to live on the west coast, moved to Maine two years ago, miss Seattle like crazy though.

It will be great to have both of you on board!

Well, already tinkering. Canceled the reservation and rebooked through Dreams Unlimited to get the on-board credit. Also got a "secret verandah" room, 6634. I'm sure it won't be the end of my tinkering.

Tinker Away! We are cruising on DVC membership points so we don't have any options to tinker! It is what it is. I tinkered on year and for each change to the reservation it cost me $ (but that tinkering was due to people were coming, then not coming, then other's were added in their place..... I had to keep switching room categories around to accommodate and since it was all on my membership and I had to shift points here and there I got whacked with a fee each time. This time we said WE are going on OUR points- anyone else that wants to go- book it yourself through what ever method you choose and pay for it yourself!

Just think- December is mere days away, that means 2014 is right around the corner, and our 2015 countdown will begin 12 short months after that!)

Welcome!! Congratulations on your first cruise!!! You will LOVE it. We went on our first this past April and had a blast. We were on the Magic, so I can't wait to see it "reimagined"! I think you picked a great first cruise.

I am not sure about the dolphin excursion. I know some people on our last cruise really enjoyed the one at Cozumel but we did not do it, so I do not know first hand. Hopefully someone else on here will know more for you.

Looks like our kiddos are close in age! If your kids are anything like mine they will LOVE the kids clubs. Mine never wanted to leave and my oldest said it was more fun than going to WDW. Looking forward to meeting you on board.

PS:I grew up in MA! (Actually my whole family still lives there and I am heading down there for Thanksgiving). Hope you have a happy holiday

I've done the dolphin experience at Nassau with Dolphin Adventures and they were wonderful. Not sure about this itinerary, though. I will say this, Jamaica has a lot of amazing port adventures. If the dolphins are most important to you, you might want to see if there is a decent dolphin excursion at one of the other ports. There is a dolphin excursion at each of them. If Jamaica has the best ones, you'll have to see if it's worth giving up some of the other excursions offered there. (I have heard great reviews of the one at Dolphin Discovery in Cozumel. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1337748)

Right now, my wife and I was planning on the following:

• Off Road ATV & Beach Break in Cozumel
• Sea Trek Helmet Dive in Grand Cayman
• Chukka Horseback Ride and Swim with Dunn's River Falls and Lunch in Jamaica.

But it was SO hard to choose! There's lots of amazing excursions to pick from. We were trying to keep costs down on this cruise, but we just couldn't say no to these. So we had to up our budget.

I could not imagine ever having enough DVC points to book a cruise, with the points they charge. We spread our 60 meager points pretty thin.

DH & I will be on this cruise. We rebooked while we were onboard the Thanksgiving Fantasy cruise. It will be our 8th Disney cruise. We were on the Magic & Wonder once each. Dream & Fantasy twice each. Have the DVC cruise on the Dream booked for August 2014. Have been to Nassau, Grand Cayman, Key West, Cozumel, Costa Maya, St. Thomas & St. Martin. So looking forward to something different. We were thinking Jamaica and on our recent cruise our Room Hostess & our favorite bartender were from Jamaica and convince us to book this cruise. We were debating between Puerto Rico & Jamaica.

Looking forward to getting to know everyone. We have a lot of time ahead of us.

When I go into DCL site and look at my reservations for future cruise, this cruise is showing up as 2 stops at Castaway Cay and when I go to the itinerary it shows day 1 at sea and day 2 &:30 am Port Canaveral. Nothing else. Weird.

Anybody else seeing that?

SO sorry I have been MIA! I haven't been getting email notifications re: new posts and with the holidays and switching from a very part time to a very full time job I have been SLAMMED! But I have to say it is nice to come here and see new faces / read new posts about folks joining us!
So it is confirmed that while I was reliable to START the thread, I am not a reliable enough poster to keep track of who's sailing (user names, and who's coming, kid ages, etc...) and anyone interested in FE exchange!
Anyone want to start a list early on (and I can link it into the first post) of a list of members, that is willing to constantly update it?? I just hate to miss people and I know I will!!! (at least I can be honest with myself....)


More importantly DID ANYONE ELSE GET A WELCOME PACKET FROM DCL??I was doing the - especially after 12 inches of SNOW on Saturday and another 6 being dumped RIGHT NOW! So I'm sitting here with a glass of wine & chocolate covered pretzles next to a fire in the fireplace and the Christmas tree lit while the kids watch Home Alone. And I'm dreaming of warm ocean breezes, tropical drinks, and dumping their ***** in the kids club!

As for excursions, DH and I are open to any and all suggestions from cruisers who have been to these ports with DCL before. We have cruised the Magic (inauguration cruise only) the Wonder x2, and the Dream. Our decision between this and the Fantasy were based on itinerary and the date- the Fantasy left the day before and we have a wedding to go to that day. THIS cruise takes me to Jamaca and Cozumel- two places I have wanted to see. I love ruins, I have always wanted to see Dunns River Falls (I'm sorry but I fell in love when I saw them in Cocktail the movie - never mind the story line.....)... Our kids are old enough to either come with us for certain excursions (they will be 11/9) OR stay in the kids club if it's a 1/2 day or less (which is my preference and don't flame me for leaving my kids- they are no longer babies, and I have finally reached that point where I can actually VACATION on vacation....)......
