I have friends at WDW right now...they know we have a few pieces of disney art. So they posed the question about a particular artist and how much his work is known to appreciate.

Honestly we buy not for investment, but enjoyment, so I came here.

Any particular artists who are known for their work that DISers would suggest almost as an investment?

They are particularly looking at Rondel Gonzales.

Thank you

Disney artists come and go. I'd never buy a piece as an investment. We do have a couple of favorite artists, Heather French and Kevin-John Jobczynski, who's work we enjoy. But again, that's just for decor.

They should buy what they like rather than what they “might” get the most dollars for in the future. Framing is expensive and if it’s going to be on a wall, you want to really like the item.

My favourite print is Forty Winks (by Randy Fehr). It’s not Disney but as soon as I saw it, I fell in love as it’s so serene (its of a wolf curled up in the snow). It’s hung above my bed since I brought it back from the states - 20 years ago and I still love it.

Disney artists;
Rob Kaz
Michelle St Laurent
Jim Salvati

But again, it’s down to personal taste.

I'm in agreement with you - we buy what we like without thought of it's future value. We just happen to have four Doug Bolly's. My absolute favorite is Suspicious Tiki!

I buy because I like it. Not so much investment. It's why I have lot of Shag Tiki room pictures. I also love the park posters. And purchased a Snow White Scary adventure because I just thought it was cool and lovely

My favorite is a Shag picture of the inside of the tiki room. Reminds me why I love that attraction so much
