Applying code to Grand Gathering ressie

With the new code being released, has anyone tried to apply it to a grand gathering ressie? Anything I need to know? Hoping for a room only code in Oct.!

Changed our AAA discount to the 7 for 4 package. Had no problem. Call the special Grand Gathering phone #. No different than usual. Each group( family) will have to make their own call I believe. I'm waiting for end of Oct. , beg. Nov. for codes for one family that's not staying as long. Each family has their own reservation under grand gathering so my 4 families have 3 different discounts- 7 for 4, 5 + 2, and room-only. Hope this was what your looking to have answered.

You can do this, depeding on what you have booked now. We all have the 7 for 5 package, plus 1 additional night at rack rate on our package. I called to apply the room only rate to the final night, but was told that they would have to cancel the first ressie, and issue a new one for the package, and then a second one for the 1 night. We were also told we would most likely have to switch rooms on that final night. We have too many kids and too much stuff to want to switch, so we just stuck with the rack rate!

Thanks for the replies. I recall someone posting the last time AP rates were out and relaying how difficult it was to get the code applied to their rack rate ressie. I think they were on hold for an enormously long time and so I was just wondering if the whole process had been streamlined. I know CRO doesn't seem to handle changes to GG ressies. Guess I'll be finding out soon! Thanks again and if anyone else knows what to expect, I'd love to hear.

Back in march there were 9 of us going and a room only code came out. I was able to get the rate appled to all the reservations since I had all the res numbers on hand. The call took, and I am not exagerating 1.25 hours to make. You do have to go throught grand gatherings department and I swear they went out to dinner. The line just continued to ring. The nice CM who was trying to connect us stayed on the line and he could not believe they did not answer there phone. When someone finally did answer the phone, she was not very helpful and I ended up calling back the next day to reconfirm what changes she made. They were not correct and thankfully there were still rooms available at the discounted rate. A very helpful CM fixed everything for us and it all worked out it the end.
