I'm getting conflicting information about this.

Say I book 12/06 now and when I'm on my 12/05 cruise, find that it's less with the discounts and such. Can they just apply the new pricing to the current ressie or do I have to pay a 2nd round of deposit money and cancel the first? I can't afford to have that much tied up in Disney coffers since they don't exactly rush to get your money back to you.

Has anyone actually had any luck doing it this way?

no, they make you do a separate reservation/deposit

We have a cruise booked for 4/06. On our cruise this past summer 6/05, the price for our 4/06 cruise was lower. Yes, we did create a new reservation, BUT the CM simply transferred the deposit from the old reservation to the new. We did not need to put down a second deposit. I did have the reservation confirmation for the existing cruise with me, and when I asked for a quote I told the CM that we had an existing reservation.

So YES it is a new reservation, but you can TRANSFER the deposit from the existing reservation.

Hope that helps.
