apple store black friday?

any idea when and where you can find out about their black Friday deals?

I don't think they announce them in advance. It's usually about $100 for laptops and $30 or so for iPad/iPods. You can look at past years, I don't think they've even had a sale on every device every year they've done it. You can usually find a better deal on the same device at an authorized reseller.

depends on what ur looking for. Target as some iPads for good prices... rarely see apple store do promos though.

unfortunately, looking for a friend who has to have a RED ipod....which you can't find anyplace but the apple store, it seems. Not buying used, as its a gift. I thought I remembered seeing postings from last year about leaked BF sales.

Usually their BF sales are about the same as their educational discount. If you look I think you could find the ad from last year to compare, but I don't recall it being much better than that.

This may seem like a silly question but you combine black friday discount with educational discount? I am looking to buy my DD macbook for college.
I assume you can't.

Any chance you live by Kroger? They have 4x fuel points on gift cards and sell Apple Store gift cards.

Best Buy's Black Friday ad is out, and there are some discounts on MacBooks and iPods there. Here's one article listing the BB deals: https://bgr.com/2015/11/10/best-buy-full-black-friday-2015-ad-leaked/

But the (RED) products are a special category with an AIDS funding connection and only available at Apple stores, so you may not find any deals on them anywhere.

I assume you can't.

It's been 3 years since I had to buy one for my son, for his college program but at that time, no you could not. hopefully someone who has done it recently can say but that was my experience.
